Exploring My Interests and Their Link to Occupations

Have you ever wondered why you are interested in some occupations and not in others?
Each of us enjoy doing some things and not others, and this is why interests vary from person to person.
Scientists have found that interests in activities related to the world of work can divide into six categories.
They have designated these categories by the letters R.I.A.S.E.C.:
Interest CodeInterest TitleDescription of Interest
RRealisticRealistic interests often involve working outdoors, with one's hands and being involved with adventure.
IInvestigativeInvestigative interests involve finding out the answers to questions, scientific inquiry and use of logical analysis.
AArtisticArtistic interests involve creativity and self-expression.
SSocialSocial interests involve helping others and interpersonal-related work activities.
EEnterprisingEnterprising interests involve sales and marketing ideas and products.
CConventionalConventional interests involve working within set procedures and rules.
Many combinations of interests are unique to specific occupations.
For example, medical doctors are often individuals who have interests that are investigative, social and enterprising.
They enjoy finding out the answers to problems, working with people, and creating their own medical practice.

Why Do Interests Matter to Me?

It is important for you to identify your pattern of interests.
First, you can match your pattern to a wide range of occupations.
Second, scientists have learned that people are happier when they participate in jobs that relate to their pattern of interests.
For example, imagine that your interests are Artistic, Realistic and Investigative.
This pattern of interests, termed ARI for short, means that you are creative and may enjoy working with your hands or working outdoors.
You may also enjoy solving problems. Architect is one occupation that relates to this pattern of interests.
Architects help to design, plan and supervise the construction of buildings.
If you have an ARI interest pattern, Architect may be a good option for you to pursue,
because it blends your desire to create new things with your interests in working with your hands and being outdoors.
When you know your pattern of interests, you can avoid occupations that you will not enjoy.
For example, according to scientists who study these interest patterns, the opposite profile to Artistic,
Realistic and Investigative is Conventional, Social and Enterprising. An occupation that matches the Conventional,
Social and Enterprising profile is Correctional Officer Supervisor. Correctional Officer Supervisors follow a set of
rules and procedures and do not create new approaches within their occupation.
They manage people as opposed to things, and they do not problem-solve.
Correctional Officer Supervisors also persuade and train others how to follow procedures.
This type of occupation would be the opposite of the interests you have shown if you are Artistic, Realistic and Investigative.

How Did You Measure My Interests?

In the Personal Globe Inventory (PGI), you responded to a list of 115 different activities.
You indicated whether you liked the activity and whether you believed you were good at performing it.
We then organized the activities into the six interest areas: Realistic, Investigative, Artistic, Social and Conventional.

My Results

You can see your personal results in the graph below.
The scores listed in the graph represent the degree to which your pattern of interests relates to each of the RIASEC areas.
  • Realistic
  • Investigative
  • Artistic
  • Social
  • Enterprising
  • Conventional

Which Occupations May Match My Interests?

We identified the R I A S E C interest areas for a large number of different occupations.
Each occupation has its unique pattern of interests that it may satisfy best.
Below, you can see a list of some occupations that may match your pattern of interests.
Some occupations may be ones that you have never thought about before!
As you learn about the different occupations, think about how you can continue to develop your interests to prepare for your future career.

As you explore occupations, you will find that they have different educational needs, different salaries, and other characteristics that make them unique.
You may discover that an occupation that you thought was boring is actually quite interesting.
You also may discover that an occupation that looked great from its title may not look so great when you learn the details.

Also, explore occupations that may relate to some but not all of your interest areas. If you like the occupation,
you may want to think about new learning opportunities that you can pursue to develop those interests.
Use this table to understand better your results compared to the results for the matching occupations.

Understanding the Personal Globe Inventory (PGI) Report

The RIASEC code reflects your occupational interests. The accuracy of the
RIASEC code and the matching occupations are derived from your personal
responses to the items based on your interests and confidence level of your
ability. It is important to understand that your interest and confidence in
your ability may change over time as you grow and have new experiences. Hence
the PGI findings should be used as a guide and not a predictor of your future
educational and occupational choices. It can be used as a starting point for
further exploration of possible career options and the corresponding
educational and professional pathways.

Second post this week! I should have posted this yesterday after I returned from my grandmother's house but I got side-tracked. Sorry!!!

Anyway, today's topic would be...

Nan Chiau High School Anniversary cum Prize-Giving Ceremony

Like I said on my previous post, today we have no lessons but Mrs Hay want us to go back for extra lessons on that day!
So we came back during the morning even though the Ceremony only starts at night.

The ceremony starts officially at 4pm at night. I arrived at school at around 3.45pm and quite a number of students have arrived.

In my class, Jie Sheng, Bao Lin, Cynthia, Wei Ting and Jia Pei already came.
Found on the seat, a leaflet and a thank-you card. O.o

And guess what, those are the only pictures I have to show you because I don't think anyone(except the school staff) have the pictures and we're not allowed to use camera in school.

Bear with it. ;)
[Click Picture to enlarge][Picture by page order]

Cover Page
This is the cover page of the leaflet and no, your eyes are not deceiving you, it's really only have this few colours. (yes, yucks)
And no, I did not photoshop it to make it look as if it is some ancient text.

TY card cum School Song
The Thank-You card attached with the leaflet
And I have also no absolute idea why is there four arrows facing the centre, as if it needs to be cut off.

School Song on the other side, I have no comments about it.(you make your own ;)

Activities
As you can see, all the performance are by musical groups. What happened to other performances like drama or something?

The Presentation of School Video was a let-down but it's okay.

Performance by Choir was greatly made fun of by Class 4E
Performance by Chinese Orchestra was....weird.
Emelia's Guzheng Ensemble will win them hands down.

Performance by Wind Orchestra - did not pay much attention to the music
But I like the conductor, so funny! He has funny facial expressions! Made it worth it to attend the ceremony. LOLs!

Performance by String Orchestra was a so-so. But I like the names of the songs. :D
--
Guest of Honour's Address was funny! He was like a comedian. Made me laugh several times. ;)
--
BTW, I omitted the Awardees List since you and I will have no idea who they are. Hahas!
--
And not all the programme took place, refreshment was not served to students in the end. Wonder why they bother to write it on a leaflet meant for students in the first place.

Teacher Awards
Congrats to these teachers! Especially Mr Seah and Mr Neo!!! You really deserved it!!!

Achievements
Our schools achievements for Year 2008(duh, it's written on the picture)

Funny that they did not write that my CCA won N.I.C.A.2008 in National Level but did include Learn@ 1N for 2008. Some weird space constraint? Hmmm....
--
I can't believe they dare to state that there were only 19 distinction out of two levels for Rio Tinto Big Science Competition. I'm speechless....

Acknowledgements
Finally, I cannot conclude the summary of this ceremony without thanking those who helped made this ceremony reality right? Thus, this picture above is dedicated to them ;)

-->Some Side-stories

During my Principal's address, he spoke in English first.
After the his address, we all thought he spoke finished and we all clapped. The Emcees appeared as well.

Then...
He started speaking in Chinese. The Emcees got shocked and retreated back to the backstage.
Meanwhile, the school jeered. What a disgrace to the guest....

Luckily, the whole school was not scolded by Ms Pey later. Hahas

After the Prize-Giving Ceremony, the emcees invited Guest of Honour to stay on stage to receive a souvenir from the school. But the Guest of Honour was preoccupied with thanking the student leaders and was leaving the stage while waving goodbye to the emcees. Then the emcees used a rather-irritated tone to inform the Guest of Honour to stay on stage.

ROFL?

During the entire ceremony, I was not hungry! Why? Bao Lin and Wei Ting brought snacks! Mmm!!!

I ate sweets and tidbits! Many thanks to them!
--
On one occasion, Cynthia gave me an empty packet. =.= Okay, so I asked for it but at least inform me it was already empty!?...lols.
But anyway, she's kind enough to give me some to eat. :p
So I owe her a word of thanks huh?
--
Anyway, Zi jie was very noisy. OMG, originally I was seated next to him (god save me...)

Thankfully, I was given opportunity to get away. (Thanks Ms Pey!)

But by doing so, I sort of sabo-ed Cynthia cus Zi jie was shifted to sit with her.

Oops? oh well..I hope she did not mind. Hahas. ;)
Now, was I too evil. Wasn't exactly my fault right? Heee..

My father told my mother that I was not coming back for dinner that day. So I ate less than usual that day. I'm so freaking glad that I ate some stuff during the ceremony or I would have starved to death. :p
--
And to think my father tried to scold me - For coming home early, when I did not. LOLs?

Alright, that's all. Good bye!

Emelia's Guzheng Ensemble Performance @ Esplanade
Hiya guys! Notice that this week's post is a bit early? This is because tomorrow, my school have no lessons, so I have another long weekend to rest! Cheers!

Okay, back to the main point.

Today, I attended Emelia's Guzheng Ensemble Performance @ Esplanade, along with John and their father.

John and I met at City Hall Station @ around 6.30pm. We chatted on the net until 5.44pm and I was amazed I can reach City Hall so fast. Hahas!
Then we met John's father at the Esplanade.

7.00pm -> No sign of Emelia. Though the Guzheng were arranged and people were gathering.

Since we had not had dinner, we went loitering around the building for some nice food. But seriously, we know that in 15 minutes, we can't do much. So we went back to watch the performance with empty stomach. (See Emelia? We so noble! lols)

The performance was nice and lively! I think the microphones need not be there at all, it's loud enough. =]
John's father is very pro! He can keep his hands steady while recording the performance throughout the performance!

Wonder if I will get my hands on it and show you guys! =]

After the performance, Emelia took some pictures with her friends before she have to go back to prepare for the second performance while we headed for dinner.

Our plan was to eat finish in 25 minutes but...

Let's see, we decided to eat Fish & Chips while John's father ordered laksa.
We went to this restaurant called "Sour Puss".
Hopefully, the food is not to sour! hahas!

Turns out that the carrot was too sweet instead!!!
Ironic, huh? LOLs!!!

We also had satay as side order.

In the end, we took around 1 hour to eat. Missed the second performance by Emelia totally.

Oh well, here's a funny thing:

It turns out that eating at that restaurant allows us to have a free goodie bag.
John's father went on ahead to watch Emelia's performance while giving us the task to redeem the gift from the shop.

But we can't, the salesperson said only a female can redeem it(WTH!?).
John and I was like, "okay....."
But we said thanks anyway.
(They say got CCTV watching so cannot pass to males cus will get caught..-.-)

Went back to his dad who then asked Emelia(after end of her performance) to collect the gift.

Turns out the gift is some girl magazine(and other stuffs).

=.=

Their father say the gift was not goodie bag. More like trash bag. (We call it 'badie bag'!) Hahas!

After that, we took photos together in front of the stage and talking about stuffs.

finally, we went to fetch their mother and I bade farewell and went home.

Then when I reach home and switch on my computer, I received this message:
(4/16/2009 8:56:56 PM) Cynthia: change ur pm
(4/16/2009 8:57:02 PM) Cynthia: u...
(4/16/2009 8:57:06 PM) Cynthia: ||
(4/16/2009 8:57:34 PM) Cynthia: siew mai came to ask me about it u noe!!
But I was offline during that time, some offline message left to me. LOLs! Anyway, I have no idea what caused the fuss but I changed my pm in MSN nonetheless.

That should be all for today. Goodnight!

P.S: Pictures should be available once Emelia has them. Video-wise, not sure =]

Sunday, April 12, 2009
Ah, HAPPY GOOD FRIDAY!

It is good to be alive. Several things happened over this week, hopefully I can talk all about them. Hahas.

Should we start with the most eventful(the one that I feel it is) one?

Alright, some background information:
Last Sunday, my family and my extended family went to pay our respects to our late family members as it was 'qingming' festival. That day was a gloomy day, with dark clouds and all. Before we knew it, there was a heavy downpour and we were drenched from head to toe.
And guess what? On Monday, I was hit with bad flu. Ouch! I have no idea how many pieces of tissue paper had I used that day alone. LOLS!

Well anyway, that's just the beginning. After school, I was really tired and went for an afternoon nap. Ate dinner and went back to bed.

The last thing I wanted was chest pain. In the middle of the night, I woke up with chest pain. I ended up spending one hour at night trying to alleviate the pain before I fell asleep again(or lost consciousness).

During the period of time when I felt pain, I seriously thought this was it, I'm near death or something. Call me dumb but I was like whispering, "I'm too young to die".

Guess that worked. LOLs.

Thinking back, I think it might be the over-sneezing that made my chest hurts(my lungs over-worked?)

Hopefully so. It better not be some undetected disease or something.

Luckily, the days after that, I felt better and better! :D
So I guess all is well now(..for now?)

Though I have sore throat now. grr...-.-

This week, we have an long weekend! Isn't that great? Sad to say, I spent most of the time sleeping. Been really tired lately due to long period of insufficient sleep for the past few months.

So I feel more refreshed now! Yay! Rejoice! Hahas.. ;)

But hey! I'm not some sleeping pig that sleep the whole day long. I did homework, little housework(opps? Tehee) and played some games!

Recently, John and I went back to playing OpenTTD, a transport tycoon simulation game.

John's now a better player than me ;)
[C'mon! Admit you're owning..hahas]

Back to my school life, I had a English Situational Test recently, I hope I did well for it. This is because I'm now concentrating on improving my English and Chemistry to improve me L1R5. ;)

Yep! Let's all work hard to go to the same school(and a good one as well..hahas)

Tomorrow is my Social Studies Test. It seems challenging, one big chunk of contents packed into one chapter. Haiz...

Not to mention Maths Test in the coming Saturday. Secondary 4 life is just about tests and examinations. Haiz...

I really hope that we can watch some movies during the June Holidays. Really need to release some steam. Hahas.

On a side note, Bao Lin and Cynthia seems to be getting easily provoked(or maybe it is just me) recently, maybe they're stressed as well..hahas)

Not to mention the fact that, they got angry because someone cut their queue during lunch time and that dish sorta went out of stock because that guy bought the last one. LOLs? Really laughable. Okay, that was unkind.

Right some advertising time!

Watch this anime series called "Pandora Hearts"!!!

It's airing now and I think it's nice!!! GoGo! don't hesitate!

LOLs...okay, won't force you guys. Guess most of you guys just like to watch "Naruto" :p

That should be all, bye!

P.S: Marcus!!! You did not call me as planned. LOLs!

Footnote to all: This place is not getting that secretive anymore, it's getting public attention by Search Engines, I actually saw the link to here(which in the past, impossible). Is this a bad sign? Maybe not ;P

~ ADDITIONAL CONTENT -12/4/2009- ~

Ah! Sorry for bulging in to this post again, I forgot to talk about something interesting that Jaytii thought of recently...

On Thursday, the before Good Friday, Chris, Jaytii, Lai Yin and I went to Compass Point for Lunch.
On the way, we met Wei Ting and Bao Lin, who also are going for lunch.
We saw a classmate from a distance, but that's not the main point.

Anyway, we decided to have lunch together at the food court. Jaytii started calling Wei Ting her 'exotic leader' and we started to have ideas.

And so the idea of 'WeiTinglism' is born.

Info(this is for fun only):
  1. Government: Dictatorship
  2. Leader: Wei Ting AKA Waiting
  3. 2nd-in-command: Jaytii AKA Wasted
  4. Members:
    1. Bao Lin AKA Wei Lin
    2. Christopher AKA wo shi lying de Wei Yi
    3. Me
And thus if you can make sentence with some of the nicks: I am Waiting to be wasted. :P.

Okay, that's it for now before Jaytii started brainwashing us. HAHAs :p

Pre-Post Message:
HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY JOHN!!! =]
Yep, you guessed right(if you even made an effort to)!

Today, 4th April, is my best friend's, Johnston's, Birthday!!!

Let us all sing 'Happy Birthday to you' song to him! :)

Now he can watch NC-16 Movies. LOLS.

Well, it's been a long week and it took me longer than expected to cover that Sport's Day Post. So I have quite a few pictures to show you guys. :D

First up! I just received a letter confirming my change of address!
Letter of Confirmation
Yet the funny thing is that they're still sending me letters to my old address. (LOLS)
My father says maybe the information have not been updated yet in the systems. But who knows? Hahas.

Next up, during this week's CCA, my teacher-in-charge gave us back some way, way overdue certificates that we should have received long ago.

Here's the overdue certificates:
Certificate of AttendanceNIC 2007 Certificate
See the year stated in the certificate? It's 2 years ago already. Haiz...

But aside all this, I wish I could take back my trophies and store in some cabinet at home and admire it. Hahas, impossible.

Meanwhile, my school recently invited a speaker to talk about how should we manage our emotions.

Here are some extracts of activities we did(taken from the handout):
Cover
Emotion Analysis Test
About MeAbout Me Pg2
Results: One Common Hit - Me being funny =]

And finally, here's a guide on how to relax if you feel sad or just plain Stressed!
Guide in Relaxing One Self

Right! I cleared all the pictures!

I have great news, I scored first in class(draw with Jie Sheng, the Maths Pro) for my AMaths Test on Maxima and Minima Problems.

I feel so happy, I can actually be on par with Jie Sheng. LOLS!

Sadly, today's EMATHS test on Vectors and Practical Maths, I do not have that much confidence. Even Jie Sheng claimed that he lost 10+ marks due to some careless mistakes.

Hmm..hopefully, I can get distinction for that test. =]
(nay, not aiming for top, I'm weak at vectors)

Lastly, I conclude that this week had been a oral week for me.

I cleared my "Chinese Newspaper Reflection Presentation" on 2nd April, "O" Levels Chinese Mock Oral Examination on 1st April(no, not some April's Fools prank) and English Oral on 3 April.

Wow, just plain wow.

My "O" Levels Chinese Mock Oral Examination was a total disaster. The teacher actually stopped me when I read the passage at the third quarter. I mean this is the first time I got stopped by a teacher during an Oral Examination. Oh my god!
It's just a bad omen. He then went on to conversation section and asked me a question about Singaporeans migrating to foreign country.
But the problem was, he used some difficult words that I was stunned.(no idea what he was asking...)
In the end, I took a gamble and got correct. Phew, thank god he really was asking about Singaporeans migrating or else, I'm toasted.

On the next day was my "Chinese Newspaper Reflection Presentation". I got 15/20. I'm so happy!
I got a few words pronounced wrong here and there but getting 15 marks is an achievement for me. I'm a weak Chinese student and I got distinction! Yay!

P.S to Wei Siang: Hah I won you! You got only 14.5. Didn't really expected I would won you though. Miracle....

Finally, English Oral was better. Ms Tan said I just have to avoid using Singlish sometimes. (used Singlish in the middle of the conversation without realising it. :p)

Ms Tan's hearing and memory is really good, she can remember what I said and can even assess what went wrong. Thanks, Ms tan! :D
Her advice are really enlightening so I should cut down on Singlish. Hahas, maybe that well help in improving my Chinese as well. Yay!

Now to (perhaps)most interesting event of this week --> April's Fools Day!

Seriously, my class was really funny. We played a prank on Mr Goh and Mrs Sim! =]

We turned our tables and chairs to facing the window, forcing them to teach outside of the classrooms. Hahas.

Mr Goh got the pictures of us doing that but he had not passed to me.(he said he will pass to me through bluetooth but he did not =.=)

Oh well, I don't know when you guys would ever see it. (maybe never :o)

So this week have been eventful. Yeah.

P.S: Johnston and I are looking for anyone who is free during the December Holidays(after "O" Levels) and are willing to be actors because we are intending to make a video/movie. Any one interested please go http://jj.nchs-icc.com/saga/employf.pdf

Thank You!

Commercial Break! =]

Today's Sports day!

For my school that is, hahas.

Many things happened today. What an eventful day! :)

First up, my super-overdue english oral research project assignment. I finally handed in to Ms Tan today. Okay, I stand corrected, Siew Yan helped me hand in my holiday assignment.

Speaking of which, I must really thank Siew Yan!

Background Information:
Last night, the day before the school's sport meet cum sports day, I finally completed my 1050+ words english holiday assignment. It took me around 3 hours to complete. Besides that, Johnston have been a great friend, keeping me accompany while I do my holiday assignment. He also bear with my vulgarities that sprouted out from my mouth when I found that my printer malfunctioned and when I got very frustrated after knowing how late it was already and tomorrow I had to report to the stadium early in the morning.

Due to the fact that my printer was spoiled, I went to ask Siew Yan to help me print. She was really nice to help me print! Really thank you!. In your debt. LOLs.
Of course, I also returned the favour, though it cannot be equal to the help she provided. (she really indirectly saved my life)
I helped her convert cynthia's oral softcopy file to something that her computer can recognise. Hahas, cynthia's Microsoft Word is too advanced(le lah), so many people cannot read her file. :p

Okay, maybe it's just us(majority of us) who is still primitive and have not upgraded to the latest Mircosoft Office.

Well, enough of that, let's go back to the topic of today's Sports Meet.

I'm in green House and Green House WON!!! Wohoo!!!

Here's some pictures we took:

The pictures above showcase a teacher called Mr.Krishnan!

He got 'decorated' with green hair. So that's how he looks like when he dyes his hair green. Teehee!
But he got rather irrated later so the green strands of 'hair' was removed. :p
Green House Area in NCHS Sports Meet 2009
I'm in there somewhere~!!!
I should be around the top left hand corner. That semi-dark aura area. HAHs..:)

NCHS Sports Meet 2009 Teacher Novelty Race
Mr.Lim(left) our PE teacher and Mr.Goh participating in our school's Novelty race. =]

On a side story, our class was the one who brought plenty of snacks, with me and Chris also providing a big packet of potato chips.
So we had a hearty breakfast in unhealthy way. HAHs...

And Chris and I did some silly stuffs. For example, we went to drink the Teacher's Orange Juice Drink Supply without knowing. I really thought it was for the entire school's consumption!
No wonder so few students were drinking Orange Juice...=.-

Not to mention, cynthia and wei ting was like asking us to help them to bring orange juice for them. Wei Ting actually want us to help her friend bring too. How can 2 people bring up 12+ cups? So in the end, Chris and I only brought up 4 cups.

4 cups for Chris, Cynthia, Wei Ting and of course, myself. ;)

Of course, when we went for second round then a teacher told us it was for teachers. (oops?)

That aside, I was under siege for the entire day after I called Johnston, when I was really bored and just called John to chat though Chris interupted me and I had to hang up, i was attack by roughly three girls and two boys.

Hahas...maybe 4 girls.

Main Attackers -> Cynthia and Weiting

Surprisingly, Bao Lin was pretty preoccupied with juggling a shaker used for cheering and so did not play a major role in 'attacking' me. :p

Well anyway, our seating arrangement was not very good, half the time, I can't exactly see what is going in the stadium.
Lesson Learnt: Do not sit at corners of the stadium. Hahas.

I sound high but tone can be deceiving because I am actually feel kind of sad. This is because I have watched many touching endings/episodes of anime this week.

Toradora's ending was funny and touching at the same time, I really felt like crying.

Aside from that, after I came back from the Sports Day, I played with Johnston.

His school had a e-learning day today so he need not go to school either.

Well, this post is getting too long so I will end off here.

I'm sorry if I did not cover the Sports Day in great detail, I getting bored talking about it. (HAHs)

Hi again, this is just an update to my previous posts.

Like I said in my last post, I got back my report book.

And Obviously, there has been a serious miscalculation of mine before.

My Predicted L1R5: 13
Actual L1R5 : 14

And I also made another mistake, my last year's Term 4's L1R5 was also 14. Term 3 was 11.
(remember me saying my memory's bad? I was not kidding)

So here's the evidence, :)

That should be all for today because I did close to nothing today. Yep, a plain boring day. Oh well...

Holiday's here! And it's ending in like....4 days? Oh my god...

You see? I was so busy with stuffs that I could only blog about this when half the holiday's over! Seriously, I need to manage my time better.

Anyway, let's start on the last day of school(as if that will bring me some joy..lols)

On the last day of school, my school organised the Annual Cross-Country Race. This year's location is at our school's nearby park called Sengkang Riverside Park.

It's a new park so no school had ever used it for any activities. Which means that, my school is the first school to use it for a cross-country race.

Pardon me, but during that time I seriously hope that the management will still allow my school to use it next year after we use it.

Since I live near the school, and the park's near the school, I walked to the park on that day.

One of my friend took some pictures so without further ado...

So yeah, I'm sorry if the pictures are abit small because I'm not the one who took the pictures(:p)

And here's interesting, the Sengkang Riverside Park is so new that GoogleEarth/Map does not know that Sengkang Riverside Park exists!
If you manual search for it by scrolling and stuffs, you will see the land as a empty batch of sandy land. Wow?

Today is also the day my father would board a plane to meet with my stepmother in China with her family. But before that, he have to attend to a meet-the-parents session with my younger sister's teacher.

Somehow or the other, it turns out that he may not have sufficient time to fetch my sister from my aunt's house and reach my sister's school. So, since I was free after the race and NE programmes by the school, I went to my aunt's house to fetch my sister.

And I can't believe I was behind schedule. To be frank with you, I still don't know why. LOLS?
Oh well, I brought my sister to school and met with my father and I went back to school.

Yes, I have school at 5pm at night. Can you believe it???

That time slot was supposedly dictated for meet-the-parent session in my school(and my dad's not going)

So why am I there? Because the school's holding on to our report book.(grr...)

Okay, it was not that bad because the school conducted a talk about managing stress during examinations.

Not to mention we have a nice speaker. :D I can't spell nor pronounce his surname so let's keep his name as a 'he'? LOLS, sorry but if you ever going to chance upon reading this, know that you're a good speaker :D

I spent the beginning of the talk(when the speaker have not started the actual talk, as the principal is giving some speech) revising for A.Maths Test(opps? Teehee...) for tomorrow.(yes test on a Saturday, how sad can my life be this year? LOLS...)

So what I learnt from the talk?

Must be positive in oneself(like yingying, hahas)
Get Sufficient sleep (like last year..haiz...)
Parents cannot nag at children nor scold(so I overheard a bit..hahas)
No TVs or Phone when exams's is near(wonder why computer's not included?)

That's about it though they were more, like how to detect whether you're overstressed and etc.

Before the day's end, my father sort of organise a farewell party for himself, my family have a tasty treat to KFC! Nice food, though my sister ate quite little.

Finally, my sister is brought back to my aunt's house and I went back home.

I feel kind of sad when my father bade goodbye to me. I feel a bit lonely here. Since there's no one in the house except me.

And with great freedom comes great responsibility. (yes..LOL...)

Haiz, I have to do all the house chores myself. So kind of tiring and depressed when I think of it.

Doubled over with homework, I'm one sad boy....T.T

Then come Saturday, the A.Maths Test turns out to be easy even though my class had a fright when Mrs.Sim, our maths teacher announces that we will need to finish two A.Maths Paper in 1.5hour.

I swear, I'm amazed that I managed to complete two A.Maths paper in that short time. Kind of shows you how easy the paper was, huh?

At night, I went to my Grandmother's house, alone. :D

It's been a long time since I can enjoy the local transport and travel very far distance with a destination in mind.

~RELAXATION!~

Sorry, just had to say that. hahas. :)

But sadly, despite all my planning using a new route to reach my grandmother's house in a shorter time, I sort of screwed it up and hence made me reach there late by 1 hour than planned.

Two factors:
  1. Left home late
  2. No knowledge of where the bus-stop at Boon Keng will be located.
I walked half of Boon Keng just to find the correct Bus Stop. What a waste of time.

My Dinner: Pig Liver Noodles.

It seems that when my family are away, I take a liking to noodles. Hahas..

However, I was rather disappointed when I reach my grandmother's house. Qi Xian decided not to go. Haiz..oh well...

My sister seems fine.

Then I was invited to stayover for one night at my aunt's house.
Since I lazy to take bus home as it was late and it's been a long time since I stayed overnight at her house, I agreed.

Didn't regret it. :)

And amazingly I did not have severe nose problems like last week(and this week no nose problem too. Wohoo!)

I got to celebrate but anyway, back to where was I....

The next day, we had lunch: Fried Fish Bee Hoon w/ milk :0

Tasty! Mmm....

Then we went shopping and finally I went home. I need to go home to start memorising some paragraph for my Monday's Chinese Class. In addition, I need to do some homework for Monday's Classes too.

My aunt once again invited me over for dinner. And it's noodles, sort of. :)

Dinner: Fried Bee Hoon + Nugget + Fish cake + Egg

Hee...While on the bus, I revised on some work. See? I'm so hard-working right(not...)

Wooo, that reminds me, Yuki did passport photos of my younger sister using photoshop.

I still can't believe she managed to squeeze my younger sister's body from knee and up into a small passport-sized photo.

Is my younger sister that small? Probably not. :o

Trick of the mind, I say...

Oh, and remind me to show you the pictures when I found my camera....

From Monday to Wednesday(which is now), it just had been lessons and lessons with tests and more tests.

Today, no one in my class had any mood to take the test on "Measures to solve Singapore's Economic Challenges" , social studies essay Question.

So Mr Rahim, our teacher, so kindly, postpone the test to school re-open.

But seriously, I'm not sure that's a good thing because from last count, there are around 3 test on the first week when school reopens. Oh dear....

And I'm getting more and more forgetful, I'm writing this so whenever I proof-read this, I will remember:
  • Donovan still owe $2, may consider writing of this debt
  • Cynthia is holding on to my multi-color pen(I forgot to take back from her, she said today return!!!)

Today is doing house chores day!

I hanged the laundry the washing machine washed and cleaned some stuffs. I feel so happy that I have achieved something. LOL....

And I finally blog about the events since holidays. Isn't that something I should celebrate about?

Ah, before I forget, yesterday(tuesday), I was ordering my dinner, takewaway when I saw Beatrice(aka leroy..lols, old joke), Pei Si(my god-elder-sister-in-school) and darren.

I called their names and I got a way weird reaction from them.

They started calling, then shouting, then screaming, "Leroy! Leroy!"

As a response, I started to walk away(I don't know them, man), waving goodbye to them.

Then I heard, "Leroy! Don't go! Come back!..."

Okay...and guess what? This morning, lessons starts, Pei Si was like complaining to me about how rude I was when they were calling for me. LOL...

Then she went off to talk with cynthia about my hairstyle. =.=

Luckily, not all came to class yet. So weird and of course embarrassing with someone talking about how they screaming, "Leroy! Leroy" (Cynthia was like laughing all the way?)

Sheesh, luckily I think only she heard, the rest of the class did not hear.

And finally, I think I did a rather stupid thing. Our class have leftover of decor items from the CNY decor competition. One of them is a sponge scrub and cynthia and jia pei use pin to dress them up to look like dolls. Or something.

Anyway, cynthia had the pins placed messily(i think she wanted to re-do or something)
and I was like trying to torture the doll or something(couldn't recall why I was doing that)

Anyway, I used my hand to pressed against the hard surface of the sponge.

And Tadaa! I got pricked by pins. What the....

Cynthia and Bao Lin was laughing at me while scolding me a idiot.

Okay..maybe I was being stupid but must they laugh so loud. Make me feel even more stupid. (LOLS?)

Conclusion: today is one of those rare days I get injured AND embarrassed. Haiz...

Well, that's about it, my hands are tired from all this typing and I'm sleepy. So goodnight!(if it is nighttime for your area :)

A week gone and the Common Test's Over! Wopee!

Joy, Relief and lastly Disappointment.

Yep, yep, disappointment. I did not maintain my L1R5

My L1R5 for CA1 went from 11 to roughly 13.

Why? Why?

My Chemistry dropped like a stone. Thank God I'm passing, still.

I was hoping that my L1R5 improved to 9 because my English improved lots. Haiz, who could have known that my Amaths and Chemistry will not be maintained.

Here are the results so far I got back from the teachers this week:
  1. English -> 27/50
  2. Chinese -> 26.5/70
  3. Maths -> 94/100
  4. A.Maths -> 70/100
  5. Chemistry -> 28/50
  6. Physics -> 40/50
  7. Social Studies -> 20/25
  8. History -> Not Back
  9. Geography -> Not bad

And worst, after combining with several tests, I have:
  1. English -> B3*
  2. Chinese -> Fail(I don't care)
  3. Maths -> A1
  4. A.Maths -> B3 (3A2 + 1 fail = B3? OMG!)
  5. Chemistry -> B4 (T.T)
  6. Physics -> A1
  7. Combined Humans. -> A1*
  8. Geography -> ? (I don't care)
L1R5 = 13*

Oh well, that means I have to buck up for the next term. Hopefully, time is on my side.

Meanwhile, I found out something interesting. It turns out that the day that my parents were married coincides on my stepmother's birthday. Wow!

Is this fate? I wonder...

And I swear, something is rather weird these days. Now it is with machines. It's like as if there is some sort of EMP field being set up in Singapore or something. Everything is malfunctioning.

John's Laptop is shutting down abruptly for no reason just after switching on the laptop.
John's Phone going from full battery to a flat battery in 15 minutes.
The next day, my phone went from full battery to 1/3 battery in 3 seconds.

Something is way wrong somewhere and I can't fix it!!!

Back to about school, nothing much is happening anymore, it is getting boring in class. Okay, maybe because we are getting a tiny bit too busy to enjoy ourselves.

Oh well.

That reminds me, I'm going to kill Christopher (Lim not Widjaya) for spreading rumours of me having stead to my inner friends' circle(aka primary school friends)

I swear man, I have enough people telling me that Christopher told them that I have a stead during the Class 6/6 BBQ. =.=

And the pattern just keep going. Christopher tells Keller, Keller tell Marcus and now 6/5 going to know sooner or later.

Marcus, don't spread.

Now Johnston, being 6/6, knows too, thank god he doesn't care because he knows it's false :D

Guys, that means it's false because (duh?) it's false. I mean, I would not be that selfish to not tell you guys, right? (don't say yes..lol)

Note to Christopher Widjaya: You told Jian An =.= But I believe the other Christopher told you during 6/6 gathering too right? The chris I mentioned in my MSN PM is referring to him, not you...so don't scold me for scolding you(because I was not scolding you. lol)

Sheesh, that done and everything, I planning a revenge on Christopher. Hahas...

Meanwhile, because john's laptop has some technical fault, we end up watching videos throughout the night to midnight.

If you're curious, we're watching parodies. Yeah. We love laughter. ;)

CCA on Friday was sort of boring. We, seniors are slacking with me sometimes, out of boredom, go check out what my juniors are doing and helping them with their project.

And there was a period of time, Rena(the future ICC Chairman after I step down) go play the recently-popular horror game, "Hotel 626".

This made the whole club gather and play. Hahs.
I'm so glad no teacher spotted us or else the whole club is toasted. (I mean, me as Chairman and other seniors playing with them? God...)

Keller and Qi Xiang went to play "Need for Madness", man they must be really bored. LOL.

Hey, as a final note, John recently introduced to a new game. It is a war-chess game so depends on your interest.

Okay, a rather unexpected post today because I said in my previous post that I posting after exams but hey since I got some free time, I thought I would share with you what happened recently.

Let's start with the usual stuffs, I am now having exams and so far, I had took the Chinese, English, E.Maths, S.S Paper.

I'm not going to talk about it until I got back my paper. It's just my belief that by saying how I feel here, I will get false hope for the coming papers. So sorry!

This entire week, I had not used computer much as exams are here(duh!)

Okay, this week, my father and I have been making frequent trips to Ponggol to visit my aunt and of course, my younger sister.

I can say she's having a great time there.

I mean, today, when we brought her back home. She looked bored. Hahas. Opps?

Hey, Yuki is researching for baby names starting for 'C' because she wants to change her name! Yuki is not her real name. I asked her why she did not just change her name to 'Yuki' and the reply was: That name is my Japanese Name. I want English Name. ==

Oh well, unfortunately, I do not have much bright ideas to inspire you(yeah you, Yuki)to choose a good name.

Can't really blame me(maybe you can...no one gonna stop you), I have more friends starting with 'J' not 'C'.

What's more need a female name. Hmm...

Let's see, I know people with names: Clarissa, Cynthia, Cheryl, Charmine, Corrine, Crystal, etc which I may not remember :p

Chloe is too hard for me to pronounce so that's why I do not like this name :p(Sorry!)

Meanwhile, I just introduced Yuki to the anime "Toradora!". She watched 8 episodes within 24 hours after I told her. That was fast. Somehow, that reminds me of Beatrice. LOLS?

Personal Note to Yuki: Don't be like Beatrice, she watched manga/anime for 18 hours in a day before.
Personal Note to Beatrice: If you ever read this, don't be angry.(make sure you don't atk me or call cynthia/bao lin to atk me) :P

My Grandmother gave me a big bag of biscuits. Woot! My breakfast for next few weeks. I'm so happy, I don't need to waste time thinking of what to eat the next morning. So convenient!

Love ya, Grandma! (as we, cousins, always do ;)

Friday was almost a doomsday for me because I lost my A.Maths CT Paper 2008 which is for revision(Opps?)

I spent hours on Thursday to search for that paper in my house.

But I did not get thrown out of the classroom. For that happen, I need to thank some people. :D

Cynthia: For trying to tell me Bao Lin's home number so that I can call her to scan for me(but I can't contact her because somehow, I can't contact her) and went looking for people with the paper the next day.
Lai Yin: For helping me find a solution and informing me that Jia Pei has a photocopy access card for school usage.
Jia Pei: For Lending me the photocopy access card. :D
Pei Wen: For lending me the Revision Paper for me to photocopy. :D

So I survived. Big Time. Woot!

Oh yeah, I got a new pair of spectacles. It's now dark blue. the previous one was black. And it cost a whopping SGD$318(if I remember it correctly, but it's SGD$300+)

It's so costly in the current economic downturn, my father told me to keep this a secret from my mother or else she will scream at us. That means you guys have to keep mum too. SHHhh!!!

No pictures of it. Will publish it as soon as I have it ;)
(Update: It's too hard for me to take a picture of it when I'm half blind =.=)

My eyesight just gets worse and worse. Haiz...

Before I end off my post for this week, things are getting so weird in my current class that I starting to stop caring already.

Seriously, it's weird. Okay, maybe a class of jokers(like me). Maybe I influenced them. LOLS...

I mean, Yi Cheng stealing the bucket from the captain(me ==) when playing captain's ball.
Darren broking his specs, fail down stairs, etc. :o [Don't worry, it was a happy ending]
Pei Si & Beatrice acting weird when I walked in between them.
Kun Xian found out a debug mode in our calculators which made some of us playing some sort of racing game with it.

Conclusion? It's just weird. Yeah.

Give it up Mov Poster
Just Kidding about the poster. Don't believe what it says, okay? Don't feel despair. :D

I thought this was a nice way to start a post, maybe I'm wrong. Hahas.

The reason for me to post this partly due to the fact that sometimes I wonder if I should drop my pure sciences...

Yesterday, I had Science Practical Assessment[SPA] for my Physics. I have to come back to school on a Saturday. Can you imagine that? Life is so sad...lols.

I feel no confidence with the latest SPA because I got a feeling that I screwed up totally for it.

Haiz...I have decided that if I really screw up for my SPA, I going to drop my pure sciences. But here comes my problem.

I used to use my both sciences and both maths for L1R5 and things have not been going well which makes me very worried if my Pure Sciences are dropped, combining into a simpler science subject.

And I will need to use either Geography or chinese as my last subject for L1R5. My Chinese is weak, so is my Geography.

Any advice here?

Let's not talk about that.

This week have been business as usual, still getting irritated by my classmates' attitudes.
Still, hate is too strong a word to describe it. I think dislike will be better. LOLs...do I sound emo?

Let's talk about other stuffs.

My Grandmother came to my house to stay for 3 days!

Yesterday, my relatives came to my house, mainly because my grandmother's here.

Seriously, Qi Xian and Tze Yu is weird. They kept talking to a robot in MSN. Wonder what's the hype about...

Yuki seemed passive that day. Maybe because I did not patronise the living room at all. Hahas...

And Tze Yu looked through my class photos! Thank god, she did not manage to see my primary school for P4. Things would be weird then.

She kept insisting that I was cuter when I was in K2~P3 =,=

Where does everybody say that? Personally, I think I look weird when I was younger. I was like er... weird. Yeah. LOLS....

Maybe that's why I don't like staring at my old pictures. But hey, I like my photos with my mother. Simply, that is a scene I cannot re-create. Life cannot be given again, only taken. Life is so unfair, huh?

Think again, if life cannot be given again simply to prevent overpopulation. See? I'm applying geography skills. Hahas.

Now, to current news. :p

Today, my stepmother is going to fly! To her hometown. LOLs...I'm being lame.

Okay, serious, my stepmother and my younger brother is going to China. My father going later. Leaving me alone with my sister but my younger sister will going to taken care of by my aunt. So that leaves home alone for a week, I think from unreliable sources.

Hm..for now I have to help my aunt fetch my sister on Mondays, Tuesday not confirmed. Same Rountine, huh?

That means, I have to bring my younger sister to Ponggol and back to home. Waste of Time!!!
But my father say, at night then bring to my aunt's house, because it saves time(my dad can use his car)

But to be frank with you, I only mind this waste of time thingy for two weeks. Because the first two weeks, I have exams. So yeah. After that, I don't really mind going to and fro Sengkang to Ponggol.

Oh well, I have no pictures of the airports because I did not go with my dad to send her off to the airport. I bade farewell at the carpark.

Meanwhile, I'm still worried for my A.Maths and Chemistry....

As I said earlier, next week onwards, I have exams until two weeks later, so you know when's the next post will be out, huh? *Hint* *Hint* ;)

Hobey ho, let's go!

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!
Okay, so I'm a bit late at wishing you guys this. I was busy on that day and days before. Sincere Apologies.
And no my blog is not dead yet! Woot! LOL.

Many things have changed since last time I posted here.
However, I can't say things are getting better.
But yeah, there had been a slight improvement. Probably because I just talked with you guys(my good friends! :D)

Anyway, I just got back my Physics Paper on Friday. I got 23/25. One mark gone for carelessness and one mark for a special question that no one in class knew how to do. Oh well, now we do. :D

God, I'm starting to sound cheerful here. But that's a good thing right?

Anyway, Valentine's Day is sort of boring. Nothing much happen except the fact that I spent a lot of money...on food.

WOW?

Morning was really a bit awkward for me, a lot of my classmates brought candies and chocolates for the entire class.
I feel kind of bad that I did not buy. Not that I intended to buy, in the first place.(Marcus, you guessed right.)

I can't believe Marcus bought for his class AND CCA. Wonder how much he spent...*ponders*

But some people got alot. (like cynthia and bao lin ==)

Anyway, after lessons in school(lessons at Valentine's Day...the horror..), Jing Ting, Lai Yin, Jie Sheng, and I went for lunch. This is the reason why I spent so much on lunch.

Not going to talk what happen during lunch or before lunch.
That's my private life.

Last thing before I go,(i'm now a busy person. So sorry!), our class's timetable is going to change, again....haiz....

Secret War Journal[2~6 Feb 2009]

Friday, February 6, 2009
All right! A week's horror and I lived with scars and honours.

Thank you! Thank you! Hahas.

Gosh! A whole week of events, I am not sure where to start. Hmm..Let's start with the new timetable my class got as of this week:

4D TimeTable 2009[1st Edtion]
Not exactly major changes but we had a change of Geography teacher. Some say the new teacher is not good at teaching but I cannot be that bias against him right?
Time will tell. Meanwhile, everyone's missing Mr Seah. LOLS...

Okay, now to the happiest and saddest part of this week:
  1. Geography Test -> 14/14
  2. History Test -> 10/10
  3. Chem Test -> (16+1)/25
  4. A.Maths Test -> (<57)/100
Geography Test and History Test was done really well. That I'm proud to say. Chemistry Test was a semi-disaster, relative to A.Maths Test. I got 16 in the beginning but I managed to claim one more mark. A.Maths Test....the one that led me to depression right now. I thought the paper was 2 hours long! How I know it lasts only for an hour? No one told me, confirm to me. So Half the paper was left blank when time was up. I calculated later and found that I lost 43 marks from blank questions. Now, do I have the option to tear up that paper and void it? I wish I could. What's done is done. Let's move on...

So, Cynthia's birthday is coming. Yuki's birthday is coming. So many birthdays in this month. Actually, I totally forgot about both of their's birthday. Cynthia's one was reminded by a email notice while Yuki's one was informed through blog, shoutbox and email and FRIENDSTER. Spam? Not really. Hahas.... What do buy for them? Absolutely no idea. Oh well.

Lessons are rather boring because Maths moved on to Further Trigo which I do not like. It's just getting boring. I like angles! Give me more angle Questions! :D Chinese, same old thing. English, our English Test is coming next week so this week, Ms Tan have been kind enough to impart some of her knowledge about Compo writing techniques to us so that we can improve on our pathetic writings. Yep! A bookworm does not mean that he's good at composition writings. Science, so-so. I'm still not comfortable with the chapter on Metals.

This week's CCA was a total waste of time. I so regret going to CCA that day. Haiz...

Okay, I'm talking with Marcus now. Talk next time!

28 January 2008 [Chinese New Year 2009 Day 3]
Sad sad, today I had to go to school but I think this is a good thing because my family is expecting visitors, my father's friend, to come. I don't want to be present even though I would be able to receive some red packet. It would be awkward.

Note to Marcus:
Hey I will feel awkward, okay! It's not as if I will not ever feel awkward. I will be awkward when there more than 3 people there whom I do not know.

Still there were some false alarms in my class, for most of the males, that is. (Is it just me or is that the girls are more reliable in their information? Nature's Gift, I guess)

So what's the false alarm, you would be asking.

Early in the morning, some people in my class(a male -.-) told yet another someone(yet another male =.=) that today have dictation for Chinese .

I thought it was Thursday? Weird. But with so many(funnily, all males..sheesh)of my classmates, I started to believe that maybe it was my memory failing and today indeed have dictation.

Oh god, I have not studied for it yet and I left the Textbook in class!!! AHHH!!! How? How? How?

No One brought either so I guess half the class are planning to fail this dictation since if the information is correct, the dictation will start once class starts! Oh my god!!!

Thankfully, before I went into some sort of frenzy looking for textbook to prepare for the dictation, when we were going up the class, I asked the girls and they told me the dictation is tomorrow, not today. And as usual, with more people telling me it's tomorrow, I assume it's tomorrow.

And lo and Behold! When class starts, the Chinese Teacher told us that the dictation is indeed tomorrow, all along. =.= I have been had.

Lesson Learnt: Christopher and others can only be trusted 15% of the time.

That reminds me, I have not filed my Chinese File yet. Have to remember to file tomorrow.

Next up is Chemistry. During the lesson, I realized that I'm starting to be not able to catch up to Mrs Hay lessons. This is a bad sign...

Today we had eye check-up. My eyesight is really, Really, REALLY bad now. I really hate those days when I got 'forced' (before I say damn you to certain people who pulled me back one row..) back one row. I think staying at that row, that back in class had really hurt my eyes, HARD. I really hate the students in my school. Before this turns a HATE Speech, let's move on...

Without spectacles, I can't even see a single character on the board during the check-up. I think the nurse was really shocked.
Guess that meant I had to get a pair of new spectacles. *Sigh* So my record of maintaining my eyesight is only 2-3years.
The problem now is that now have global economic downturn and I am not sure how to say it to my father about paying for a new pair of spectacles without getting slaughtered by him for the unnecessary cost for the spectacles. I'm truly vexed. AHH! Why is life so hard to be with?

Today CCA is yet another depressing part of today. It's the third day of Chinese New Year and I'm already so depressed. Why is my life so miserable in my secondary school? I really miss the good fun days in my primary school...(I guess most of you guys too..I'm not alone :D)

I think it is a mistake to learn how to draw Manga for our club(because I hate art, no artistic talent)

But to the credit to those interested in art, I will tolerate because I don't expect everyone to share the same sentiments as me.(I doubt anyone does ;)

But I doubt anyone in my school ever realize that Keller had hit on the mark last week when he wrote the clubs whiteboard:
If leroy skips CCA, the sky will fall
I mean, how did he know I had thoughts of skipping CCA. Scary....But anyway I went, because I felt committed to go. See, they should be touched. Whatever....
Sort of wasted my time there, doing things that I long ago done, failed at convincing Mr Goh that there no such thing as "GODMODE" extensions for our portal that suit our needs since I had practically went through the list of thousands extensions.

As I said, I wasted my time and my failure to convince him really made me depressed, making wonder why I even bother to come, wasting my precious time there.

And yet another lessons learnt:
Keller and Qi Xiang can not be trusted to be given Admins Status.
It's just too dangerous. Keller went around installing anything junk he sees, it's that horrifying. Worse, I have to clear his mess. To heck with that, screw him, screw them.

They are just fooling around. Yet another reason why I'm wasting my time babysitting them.
Christopher got really determined that reservation system could be used for attendance marking.

I have thought of this before but COME ON! Reservation and Attendance? No Link! For god's sake.
I'm with _____, you know what I mean. (hands up in despair)

Towards the end of the session, I sort of gave up and let Christopher do what he want.

And sorry to Zi Ying for me venting my depression on you(if there's such an action, note taken from the action verb, venting anger)

And I think I screamed at Peon, sorry! Don't take it to heart. I'm just feeling down.

Seriously, I think Zi Ying and Jian Zhong are the mature ones there. Sigh....

I know this is abit of a depressing post but this is how I feel when I post this, hope you guys don't mind.

Hope this cheers up the mood:
Happy collecting RED PACKETS! AND MAY LADY LUCK SHINE FOR YOU FOR THIS YEAR!

26 January 2009 [Chinese New Year 2009 Day 1]
Before I talk about Chinese New Year, here's the pictures of what Jaytii made from the CNY Class decor excess, as promised:
LELOY TAG!
LELOY TAG!

Right, back to Chinese New Year...

Today I am the last family member to wake up. I'm so proud of myself of that fact(just kidding!)

When we arrived at my Grandmother's house to give blessing,(is that the right word? Who cares..) Qi xian's family was already there!

This year our family is the last to arrive. Yuki's family came so early that no one else saw them came. Expected. But Qi Xian's early appearance certainly was not expected.

New Year brings change, I guess.
Change for the best, I hope.

But good things are not changing! My grandmother cooked Mee Sua! Tasty one! Wohoo!
So sad this time she no energy to cook more so I only ate one bowl.

We left the house at 12+ and went home. We were all tired so we went to sleep.
The whole family actually went to sleep, including me! It's a miracle because I seldom sleep in the afternoon.
Hey I want to recover the lost sleep from the holidays, okay!?

And you know what? Surprise! My father's cooking Western food!

Pork Chop, chicken chop, french fries, wine. You got it!

Pst, sorry for not taking photo of the meal and display because everybody's eating the food and thus making it look unglam :p
But hey, the display and taste was good. My parents are such good chefs! Pity they are not hired cooks :p

My father was kind of sad, he fried the french fries first and he went out of the kitchen and shouted, "Who wants to eat french fries!?"

My mother and younger siblings were watching television while I was using the computer.
I feel so sad that everybody ignored him, engrossed at one's activity.

So I came out and say," ME! ME!"

Then he went back to the kitchen.
Later, I asked my mother if she wanted to eat french fries and later my younger siblings went to eat too.

:D I started a Chain effect.
--
Today, I learnt how to uncork a wine bottle(so slow...)

Quite fun though the result was rather bad for a first-timer. HAhas.

Then my mother actually force me to use the child wine glass.
It's so freaking small.
I was like, "WAD!? I'm suppose to use the same as my younger siblings?" And I stare at my smallish wine glass.
Oh well...

The Chicken Chop/Chicken Platter was super duper nice!!! I ate half of the chicken available. HAHAS...

To my father's credit, Pork Chop was nice too, just not as nice. :D

SMS John a HAPPY NEW YEAR!

BTW, I yesterday forgot to mention that my aunt made me love letters already. I feel so sorry for my father for buying for me love letters two days ago because I was craving for it. Now my house have two and I'm sure my aunt's love letter taste nice than the supermarket one. Haiz..I wasted my father's money. I feel so guilty...

That should be all for today.
Hope for the best. See ya!

25 January 2009 [Chinese New Year 2009 eve!]
Woot! Chinese New Year is round the corner!

Today, we did Spring Cleaning Part 2 and I cleaned my room. The Fish Pond was cleaned, my father's car washed(though it rained later in the day, much to my father's grief)
--
We had ham for breakfast! Woot! Not picnic ham but big and tasty ham! Man, I love this day :D

And I finally read the fifth book of The Wheel of Time! (Marcus, read faster so you can pass me the rest of the series ;)

As any student would do, I started a bit on homework though I got very frustrated and gave up without completing a single homework.
One wonders how I going to finish it during Chinese New year...Oh well....
--
My little brother went for a haircut. So jealous, hahas. He looks cuter!

We had fish for lunch though I prefer the oily meat. Woot! I ate the entire plate of meat with rice with that greenish-yellow vegetable. So tasty!
I must thank my father for letting me eat the entire plate with rice :D
--
At around 4 o'clock at night, my family started out to my grandmother's house for the reunion dinner and my parents had also promised to help out at the cooking for dinner.
--
If I thought my family would be the first to arrive at my grandmother's house, I'm so proven wrong.

Simin and her sisters had already came and LEFT! WTF!?

That was really early.

Shortly after, my 5th aunt's family arrived

What is with this year? Why is everybody is so early this year? Oh well, at least I would not be bored with nothing to do there ;)
--
And so my younger siblings went to a bedroom to play the toys that my cousins and I played, ten years ago...

Meanwhile my cousins and I went to play poker cards.
--
This year's Reunion Dinner, we have:
  1. BBQ Chicken Wings! (I ate alot of this)
  2. Pig Intestines Soup (It's nice but I drank so much that I got too full...)
  3. Curry!
  4. Roasted Duck (prepared by 5th Aunt!)
  5. Pork Ribs (prepared by my father)
  6. Broccoli
  7. Fishballs!
  8. Prawns!
  9. Fried Stuff
  10. And more!
Not to mention the delicious New Year snacks available for consumption there!

We even have seaweeds, no link right?
--
Then my cousins, aunts, uncles and my parents went to to gamble with poker cards.

Almost all, since Yuki and I did not gamble.

We were like, oh my god!, I have another cousin who don't gamble!

How great is that? I'm not alone. (LOLz?)
--
It's pity that I have to go home at 9 o'clock because my younger brother needs to go home and sleep.

Haiz....

This year, I did not take part in any countdown party, was watching anime when Chinese New Year arrived. Hahas.
--
Zi Ying asked me something very queer, she asked me how much money I got from red packet as if Chinese New Year had ended!

I gave her the answer of $0. She gave me sort of terrified reply. LOLs?
--
P.S: Jing Ting used the excess Chinese New Year Class decor to cut out my nickname! I intend to take a picture and so you guys! ;)

And sorry to Bao Lin for accidentally calling you Jia Pei, I don't know what got into me. My head's not well, I guess..
--
Lastly,
HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR!!!

24 January 2009 abt CNY Shopping Spree!!!
Today, I woke up very early, just to take a bus all the way to the other side of Singapore to pay respects to my ancestors and my late mother.
--
We arrived late, 1 hour late. Ate lunch there in the temple and god! They changed the rules, the food is no longer provided free! They charge you $2 and it's not even food that are up to standard, my father had to end up paying $7 more later outside to buy more food.

Talk about economic crisis. Sheesh.
--
That's when I realized that my PSP is spoilt AHHHH!!!! (wanted to check the time using my PSP)

Damn! How did the inner screen get cracked? Pure anguish and the pathetic quality of a PSP. Shessh.
At least the memory is intact, hmm, have to find some free time to take my PSP for repair, but where!?

Someone,...tell me.....
--
I'm not that attached to my PSP so I did not get depressed. My father decided that taking bus home would take an eternity(lol, he hates bus lots)

So he is bringing us home by MRT. Man, I prefer bus. :p
--
Saw Hai Jin and Yi Cheng at the MRT Station, I don't think they saw me :p
[Did not bother to greet them...]
--
We went to Cold Storage to buy some stuff for the coming Chinese New Year.
--
Here's a list of what we bought:
  1. Meat
  2. Vegetable
  3. Love Letters(requested by me)
  4. Pineapple Tarts
  5. Egg tarts
  6. Drinks
  7. Wine
  8. Ham
  9. Eggs
  10. Flour
  11. Baker's Yeast
  12. Rice
  13. Milk
  14. Milk Powder
  15. Tons of more snacks
--
Meanwhile, my stepmother who is at home is doing spring cleaning, all by herself. So hardworking. Thanks, mum!

Hey I did help her when we reach home. ;)
--
Played with Johnston at night. :D
