New Year Meet-up

Sunday, January 27, 2013
Secret War Journal[12 January 2013]
A new year! Always a good reason to meet up with everyone again. :) Today it is time to do some catching up with 10S101 clique after not meeting them for so long! It has been what, a year since we last met? LOL

Coming today are Debbie, Laura, Lai Yin, and Pei Shi. It was a meet-up that almost took ages to materialise. I guess it was mostly my fault due to the fact that I did not have whatsapp? That did slow down the process on confirming on a date. Compounded by the fact that my work schedule was a big question mark then, not much decision-making could be made then. Things were finally decided when my schedule for January was finalised. Thud, today is the day we decided on.

Apart from me, the rest of them are attending university. It made me feel that I am under-performing at first because everyone else seems to be learning something immediately useful to their future career. I feel so useless since I could have signed up for some class during the weekends. Hmm, on that note, I am currently thinking of taking up driving.
Come to think of it, each of us are pursuing a different degree. Debbie - Business; Laura - Law; Lai Yin - Mathematics; Pei Shi - Psychology. Myself? I am set to pursue a double degree of business and computing. Guess at least I am also pursuing a business degree as Debbie but I am taking a double degree. :(
Most of them are smarter than me but I am the only one gunning for a double degree. At times, I have second thoughts of my compatibility with my chosen course. Hmm...

Pasta De Waraku
Without sidetracking further, we met up at GongCha first in Central. (I was not late! Yes!) Earlier that day, Debbie wanted to meet up at Outram Park first. No reason were given then but Pei Shi guessed that Debbie needed to buy something first. I could not give an accurate guess on what Debbie wanted to buy because all I know about Outram Park are a hospital and a park. As it turns out, Debbie forgot that there is a MRT station in Clarke Quay! Hahas! That could be quite embarrassing! Fortunately, that was rectified before we actually met at Outram Park or else it would be really funny then. :p

From my memory of my past visits to Central, I recalled having difficulty choosing what to eat. Today, we had quite a bit of a dilemma on which restaurant/stall to dine in. (Deja vu?) After walking around the whole shopping mall, I realised there were many more places to eat than I previously thought. Heck, I did not even know that there were so many Japanese cuisine restaurants here! Fortunately, we narrowed our choices down to non-fast food and no Korean, which helped to allow us to decide our lunch. In the end, we found ourselves seated in Pasta De Waraku, a sort of fusion cuisine I would say, of French and Japanese. All the while, they were trying to get me to treat them for lunch. (I was actually prepared to treat them, within my budget, of course. It felt like a deja vu moment where I treated them to lunch. Hmm, maybe that happened in an alternate dimension.) Anyway, they felt bad so I did not treat them. LOL?

I cannot vividly recall what each of us ordered but Laura ordered a oyster clam soup pasta, lai yin another soup pasta, Pei Shi cream pasta, Debbie seafood pasta? while I ordered Ham & Egg pasta. For myself, I find the pasta a tad too salty. However, the serving is decent (not enough for me but enough or normal people.)

Long Walk
After our meal, we loitered around the mall, trying to decide on something to do. (We only planned to find a place to eat and catch-up, but it was a bit bad to stay in a restaurant when we all but finished our food. LOL!) Along the way, we had this crazy idea to walk to Suntec City Mall and off we went!

Walking out of the shopping mall, only to realise that the weather is kind of harsh today. Yet, we pressed on. It is quite a journey actually, being my first time walking from Clarke Quay to City Hall. I had a lot of fun coming with crazy theories about NUS Faculties with Laura.

Mall of Old
Reaching Suntec at last, we were shocked by the amount of renovation works it is undergoing through. Ever since Carrefour left Suntec City Mall, , Giant and Cold Storage has taken residence in it. Some way or another, other places are also experiencing change. The entrance which I normally took to enter the mall is now going through revamp, causing it to be sealed. Even before entering the mall, I felt as though I do no know this Mall anymore; It feels so foreign now. Thankfully, the interior still resemble the old mall I knew. We stopped by Oldtown White Coffee since I was feeling hungry.
I was not exactly sure why but our food took quite some time to arrive. Lai Yin's came first but our food still did not arrive when she finished it. I could understand why the half-boiled eggs would take some time but toast? In any case, as there was a long delay before my food actually arrived, I could eat my toasts as dinner. (Not very healthy to eat just two toasts with kaya spread for dinner but I just lost the appetite to eat dinner after consuming them.)

Shortly after, we headed home.

Her Iron Throat
Somehow, we should thank Pei Shi for making this gathering possible. Did you know? Pei Shi actually had a pretty bad sore throat today but still she came. She should be resting at home instead but I guess it is hard to get us to meet up so she decided to come at risk of worsening her condition. That made me feel a bit bad.

Tells you something huh? As we all advance to the next stage in entering the working society, it would only get so much harder to meet up. I can only hope I do not lose anything when I enter the working world.

I cannot even imagine where I would be today were it not for that handful of friends who have given me a heart full of joy. "Let's face it, friends make life a lot more fun." - Charles R. Swindoll

Easter 2012

Secret War Journal[8 April 2012]
Happy Easter people!

Once again, I shall celebrate Easter. This time, I would be attending a musical conducted by Victory Family Centre.

With me today would be Lai Yin (she's a member of the Church), Laura, Pei Shi and Debbie.

Before the Musical, we met up at a relatively new mall Changi City Point for dinner. Pei Shi and Laura had Carl's Jr while Lai Yin had Soup Spoon with me getting Subway. Nevertheless I got Carl's Jr fries because I miss them. It has been a long time since I last ate them! >.<

We did some catching up before Debbie arrived. As it turns out, Debbie is not eating with us.

I guess the latest news I just received from them is that Laura would be gunning for Law. Another friend of mine is going to be a lawyer! :P

Without further ado, it is time to watch the musical, they (the audience) are getting excited by it!

And the end draws near when...

Shortly after this scene, the resurrection was underway.

My thoughts on the musical? I think the voices were great. However, I cannot help but feel that the script was rather rushed with a lack of proper introduction of certain characters at times. I was able to let that slide because if one were to take into account the time constraint, there is not really many other ways to deliver such a musical.

In all, it was worth watching. Once again, happy Easter Day! :)

10S101 Class Chalet 2012

Monday, January 9, 2012
Secret War Journal[8 January 2012][Long post]
Actually, I am not sure if this is the last one but it sure felt it was the last one. O.o

The Original Plan
I guess there is no harm to tell you what I had planned at first. Pei Shi’s and Debbie’s birthday presents were way overdue since last year.
But! Before you jump into conclusions, we had bought the presents. We just needed an opportunity to pass to them with all the stakeholders present, to be fair.
Actually, we just wanted to witness their reaction when they open the presents. :p

With the class chalet, the opportunity presented itself, well sort of. Since Laura’s birthday recently came too, Pei Shi was planning to pass Laura’s present before the Class Chalet. Covertly, we were planning to pass to Debbie and Pei Shi their presents then too.

Or so we thought,
Lai Yin was… I guess not used to such stuff. So the plan failed. We had only a few minutes to concoct another plan which I would leave the details for later. Hahas! :)

What actually happened…?
Then came another setback, this one rather hilarious too. :p
Laura overslept. Pei Shi must be pissed because that was the whole point of the meet-up – to pass her birthday presents. Hahas!
For a moment, I thought her phone died because her phone was unavailable and she was not aware of the gathering point. Thankfully (ironic as it sounds), she was sleeping and did not turn on her phone.

Since we thought we are going to be the latest for the Class Chalet, we told Laura to meet up somewhere nearer to the Class Chalet.
--
While we head towards the new meeting point, let me spend some time to describe to you the wrapper for Laura’s birthday present.

Why? You might ask. Well, it is very… unique. :p

The wrapper is made of paper (duh?!) and it is brown in color. Nothing special yet? Well, that’s the point! It is a simple paper bag, think take-away paper bags in Burger King. Hahas, a novel idea I tell you (in a certain accent)!
--
We met Laura on a bus stop where a shuttle bus would bring us to our destination. Upon meeting her, we passed her our present for her. Unfortunately, she did not wish to open her present in our presence. Thus, I was not able to witness her reactions to the presents we bought for her.

The journey on the Shuttle Bus was a blur for me because I sort of fell asleep on the bus, being tired these days. Hahas.

So it begins…
Oh does it? I would think that at this point of time, after much beating about the bushes, as a reader, you would be wondering if I was just trying to be funny and just sprouting random nonsense just to delay the climax of the day.

Well, sorry to disappoint (or amuse) you but all these events really occurred on that day. Such is life. :)

Arriving at the chalet, we expected ourselves to be one of the latest group to arrive. Much to most of our surprise, there was only… Bryan.

Yep, only Bryan. That is because he was tasked to check into the place at the designated time. Guess that made him the earliest to arrive, by default.
That is…interesting. Nevertheless, it provided me some time to explore the place somewhat undisturbed due to the lack of people in the vicinity. (*insert evil laughter*)

Oh, did I mention that the moment we arrived at that place, it started to rain? Queer, isn’t it?

False start? No more,
Alright, I would stop torturing you (and myself from the excessive typing) by letting the pictures do the talking from this point! :)

Starting the BBQ!

Pei Shi and me doing a silly face (can't believe Debbie caught this on camera but I think it's hilarious!)

So I got bored and went to take some pictures with Timothy. Say cheese!

I have no idea why this picture is so small!!! >.<

Ah, so the group pictures had come streaming in, enjoy! (And all our candid pictures too...)

At around 9:30, it was getting late for some of us as we all had work tomorrow.

Laura's father was nice to bring us to a populated area for the rest of us to flag a taxi. Thank you! :)
It took some time but we managed to flag a taxi and I guess everyone was already tired from the Chalet and needed a rest for a packed tomorrow. :)

Me? I had a rather candid conversation with the taxi driver. I think he found it awkward to talk to me in front of my other friends as he talked a while before going silent when the rest boarded the taxi. Nevertheless, I gained some insight from him through our short conversation. Hahas!

Let's Talk NTU 2012

Sunday, January 8, 2012
Secret War Journal[7 January 2012]
“A” Levels results are coming soon, I am getting nervous. This coming Monday would be the release of “O” Levels results. Somehow, that made me worries about my “A” Levels results. Hahas!

Well, I guess it is soon time for reality to kick in and start thinking about the future!

One of the few talks I managed to find time to attend was the session conducted by Nanyang Technological University (NTU) named “Let’s Talk NTU 2012”.

How I knew about such an event? NTU sent us a letter to all of us to raise awareness as well as the flood of emails by Brightspark to inform us of such an event. It was quite irritating later on because all the contents are essentially the same thing but I guess the organizers were worried that no one would attend their talks.
For today’s event, I would be attending the talk with Debbie, Cynthia, Laura, and Pei Shi.

I guess it is without doubt after the talks and the word-of-mouth that NTU is excellent in the Business and Accountancy Degree. The direct honors program is also another plus for the Nanyang Business School. (Note that all courses in NTU offer this program too) Hmm, perhaps I would enroll in that school should I decide to undertake a business degree. Hahas!

Apart from meeting many friends during the events and understanding the various courses a little better, there is nothing much to note for the talk.

But dang, I am still undecided on which course I should gun for! (if I score well, that is) Any ideas?

P.S: There is another exact same talk on the 28 Jan 2012. Feel free to see for yourself then!

A New Year. A New Face

Friday, January 21, 2011
Secret War Journal[21 January 2011]

First official post for the new year 2011. The post that are supposed to be posted last year, will be.... posted sometime this year. Sorry for the disorganisation. There are other reasons for not posting them, hope you will understand. Let us start by talking about the class I'm in. (Well, yeah.)

The class strength has fallen by 3 to 22. Perhaps coincidentally, my index number is now 20. *Had you meant for this to happen or fate?*

There are several changes in subject tutors (AKA subject teachers) for my class.
--
For Physics, we have a new teacher named Mr Remedios. When he first introduced himself, the first thing that came into my mind was the word, "Remedials". Okay, a bit evil on my part and he don't deserve this because he's a great guy. He reminds me of a tuition teacher that I had when I was around primary 4. That teacher was Mr Ng and he tutored me for science then. That was the only tuition class that I had ever enjoyed so far (partly because I don't attend tuition anymore). I remember how I used to look forward to his lessons, going to Yuying CDAC for his lessons on weekends. Rocket science experiments were so much fun, especially when you're one of the few doing the crazy stuff, hahas!

Back to my new subject tutor, so far he's a fun guy though I'm not sure if things will go serious in a boring way. Well, hopefully not. I'm not saying the previous teacher is not as fun. I feel that it's a pity for him because his area of expertise is not covered in J1 so it's being a bit unfair for him. Strangely enough, his designation in MJC is a blank instead of teacher. Hmm...

For General Paper, we have Mr Max as our tutor again. Wohoo! My class is really lucky to have both Mr Lye and Mr Max as our tutor. Both are great GP tutors. Their approach are slightly different but I'm fine with both of them. Wohoo!

Alright, enough said.

A new year, the year of doubts is past us. Perhaps, this year will be a year of vengeance. It's high to enforce my principles to a even higher level. After all, don't everyone say we must not be complacent and constantly improve ourselves?

This year, the mask will slowly melt like wax. What was done will be done once more. As aforementioned, I will enforce the value mirror more strictly. Let's see how low one can go. :)

The Shadow King concept will also be enforced more as well, of course.

As for the first principle, I doubt it can go any higher. Hahas! I think I perfected that art already but I guess there's always area for improvement, I will go look out for it. :)))

These three should be the focus of the year, I presume. The others ain't so important, for now. After all, the word of the year this year is Vengeance. Enough said.

Chronicles of Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader

Secret War Journal[11 December 2010]
Well, today, there is a meeting about a particular event that I would be involved in. It's called "Let's take a walk 2010". It's a charity walk which my class would be helping out at as part of our CIP hours project of sorts.

My class agreed to meet at Woodlands MRT station. Apparently, we were suppose to meet at some place called Boys' Town which should be located somewhere in Bukit Timah. Well, being someone who had lived under a rock for the past 10 years, I had no clue how to get there myself. (It's too far north to my liking)

I don't really like Woodlands either, (It's also located in the North. Zzz), but I guess that's the lesser evil compared to tampines because it's very inaccessible, not to mention my bad experience there.

Got a lift from my uncle who brought all the way to Yishun so that I can easily get to Woodlands, (from there, it's a just a few stops to Woodlands via MRT). I'm really glad that my uncle offered me to bring me to Yishun though I feel a bit bad because they could have taken their own time to have breakfast but they had to come out in a certain time to prevent me for being late. :S Really appreciated. :)

Took a bus to the place called Boys' Town.

Speaking of which, we passed by a LRT Station called Pending. One may thinking the station status is pending but it's actually the station name! Hahas! In fact, a few days after the meeting, the newspaper actually came out with a report on how misleading "Pending" Station was. ;)

When we reached the entrance of Boys' Town. We encountered the security guard. When he was asked about the briefing (well, we needed directions, it was a big big place. :), he commented that the meeting was in the morning and it was already going to be over.

(That turned out to be a scare as he mixed up our briefing with the walkers' briefing which was held on the same day, same place but on 9AM to 12 noon. Our briefing, being volunteers to help out, was from 12 noon onwards. :)

Nevertheless, to those who heard the conversation (I doubt many cared anyway), I guessed that rattled them for a moment.

It took some time before we finally arrived at our destination. We were a tad early and there wasn't really anyone else except us and the organisers. The briefing was short and brief. It was concluded with a statement that emails would be sent with more details which settled everything else.

After the meeting, we headed for Causeway Point for lunch. Following this was a very impromptu movie outing. Hahas!

Chronicles of Narnia
Well, the movie wasn't bad. I guess you could call the movie average. Thrilling? Not exactly, it's more about the lore. Many things left unexplained and some parts felt skipped.

The dragon design was very awkward too.

Overall, I doubt this movie is worth the cinema ticket price. You should just wait for the movie to aired free on television some day when you're really bored.

It's saving grace would the subtle magic used in the movie. It's at least of decent quality. :)

Sadly, the magic showcased are not very elaborate so fans of magic could be disappointed as the magic is considered rather minimal compared to other movies and not meant for people to focus on. Like I said, subtle magic, I guess its role is just to supplement the atmosphere and the likes.

After the movie, I had to rush off to my Grandma's house! It's been a long time since I visited since my family visit in odd weeks while my aunt's family visit weekly. ^^

Had chicken chop for dinner! Yum! :D

Flyer - The Third Experience

Sunday, December 19, 2010
Secret War Journal[16 November 2010][Long Post]
Yes, yes. I know. Sorry for the unannounced absence from the Blogger Universe for close to half a month?
(Before you people start counting the days, I was indeed away for around half a month despite the previous post being less than half a month ago. Yes, it's entirely possible. :)

I don't like it either, you have no idea how many drafts/posts I need to post right now. Definitely not a good sign for me. Hahas! Well, let's stop wasting time and start finishing this post, shall we? :)

Wait, Flyer? Again?!
Oops, my bad. Hahas, yeah I'm aware that I had board the glorious Singapore Flyer twice before this already thank you. To spare you guys, (and myself), the agony of saying my views about Singapore Flyer, or anything related about it for that matter, those details would be kept to the bare minimum.

No, I don't think the post would be short. (Shorter than a full length post but not too short, I hope. Well unless I got too tired or I ran out of time, that is. I mean c'mon, it's getting longer as I talk more trash at its prelude than the actual post? Oops? XD)

Laura's House
Before I begin, please bear in mind my memory sucks and it's been a long time since the actual event. Anyway...

School was dismissed in the morning/afternoon (I forgot why) and thus, we went for lunch. We did not have lunch together. (Look, I forgot why for that part too, drop that throwing dagger, thank you)

After lunch, we went to Laura's House to well... play and slack. His brother was with his friends, playing PS3.

Boy, her house is....very empty. Oops? Well, either it is because it is in good order or it's too big. XD Anyway, her house is two stories high. Not sure if there's a third. *Shrug* I did not do much exploration since I was in fact, rather tired that day. Hahas.

Played Bridge there and oh man, I can't believe there was this one match where Debbie just won without any resistance at all and her partner did not need to do anything. (HA!). Basically, pure ownage on her part. There's a total defeat for the rest of us, I can't believe Debbie could so lucky. :S

On the other hand, Laura has a rather comprehensive bookshelf (as do all readers, well maybe except me. :()
I don't have much interest in most of the books there though. Oh well, hahas. At least some of the series she reads, I read before, I guess. :)

Lastly, you should visit her house with Debbie. I should assign the job: Treasure Hunter to Debbie. You will know why if you ever get to have the chance to visit Laura's house with Debbie. Hahas!

P.S: Hmm, maybe not, I think Laura would just throw us out. :p

1st Floor please. XD
After that, they went shopping. I was dragged along, wow. They went to many places. I think we should call it the walk-a-Singapore Shop-a-thon. Hahas.

Sidetrack a bit,
Photobucket

There was a Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows exhibition at Illuma, not sure if it's still there. :p

Still sidetracking...
Those were some of birthday presents we considered for Pei Shi. Ironic that we end up buying neither.

One particular thing of interest that happened during their fast-track shopping spree was the one where we never got past the basement of Plaza Singapura. Seriously, that's a first for me. I guess that day I experienced the true power of people shopping. Hahas! So what happened? Well... we were eating to our hearts' content at the basement. Boy, can Debbie eat snacks. She should be dubbed "Snack Queen" Hahas!
Mental note to self: Never compete snack-eating with Debbie. XD

Here's a certain scene:
~Debbie just bought a snack
Debbie: Should I buy that? (Looking at another food stall)

Owned. I think she's the first I met who thinks about eating something else when she just bought a snack. A true master. *Salutes*

My first Popeyes
We had popeyes at the sort-of newly opened branch near the Singapore Flyer.

This is my first time eating Popeyes and I had heard quite a good number of positive feedbacks about it so I was looking forward to tasting it myself.

Sadly, I must say it was a let-down. I have no idea why people say it's better than KFC. Chicken-wise and taste-wise, KFC wins Popeyes hands down. I mean, if you omit the storage method that KFC uses. (I have no idea how Popeyes stores their chicken, probably the same way?)

Price wise, KFC win by a bit? This makes it more pathetic because KFC is cheaper and much more DELICIOUS. Zzzz much?

Conclusion: Popeyes is overrated. Hahas!

In other news, KFC now has Pepper Chickens.....

My third flying capsule
PhotobucketGoing to Singapore flyer was rather retarded for us that day because it was raining. We alighted at the nearest MRT station and there wasn't a sheltered pathway to the Singapore Flyer.

Wonder why they don't want to just walk. Hmm... (okay, I asked myself a retarded question.)

Anyway, they(or we) decided to hail a taxi to Singapore Flyer.
(Yes, it's crazy. LOL. Hold that thought, I'm not finished. XD)

Yes, we managed to hail a cab.
Yes, it was hard to find a taxi stand there. So much for that station being a new MRT station.
Yes, we managed to find a taxi driver to go along with our crazy idea. (well, he would get paid anyway, no reason to say no and well he wanted to do a short one before going home....so yeah)
Yes, it wasn't cheap. Hahas!

Here's the real painful parter: The surcharge was much higher than the distance fare. So basically, we paid a bomb not because of its distance, but its surcharge. I bet that taxi driver must be thinking he just struck lottery after leaving us. Hahas!

Met up with Gerald, Wen Zi, Stephanie and Joanna before going aboard the flyer.

Attendee(s): Pei Shi, Debbie, Laura, Wen Zi, Stephanie, Joanna, Gerald.

First Time: With a professor, keller, and Qi Xiang - Day View with everything in sight
Second Time: Prom Night - Night View and all its splendor
Third Time: Raining, a new experience.

Well....I'm not only one who had board the Flyer many times... so when we board the flyer, the behaviour was well..... not like one who has just board the flyer for the first time. So yeah, you see people getting bored there and the likes. Wow, never thought I would witness that. Hahas!

One thing to note is that this time, the Integrated Resorts are completed and can be viewed from the Singapore flyer! But.....not everything completed yet, meh.

Met up with Yao hui and co after that. I headed home after that, too tired.

Hmm, this post is rather crappy. I got tired as I typed this too. Wow, remembering how tired I was that day made me tired now, amazing. Hahas! Well, at least I managed to put some random stuff which couldn't by itself sustain as a post. That helped to clear many things off my mind that I being wanting to clear. Hahas!

Hey, at least I managed to persevere and finish the post from the start to the end. Phew. Ciaos people!

Next up, the post on NCHS Prom Night 2010. All right!

Post-Promos 2010

Secret War Journal[16 October 2010]
JC PROMOS
It's been some time since I talked about exams so I guess it is a suitable time to talk about one of the most critical examination in JC, apart from the dreaded A Levels of course.

Without further ado, let's discuss about my results first.
  • General Papers(GP) AKA English -- 55 (C)
  • Chinese, Mother Tongue Language -- 52 (D)
  • Chemistry -- 58.5 (C)
  • Economics -- 42.3 (S)
  • Physics -- 71 (A)
  • Mathematics -- 90 (A)
At the last day of Promos, I was sort of 'lectured' by Mr Goh which I sort of deserved because I did not have the motivation to study for Promos at all. As the above picture suggested, I think Promos robs students of social life and I sorta went to rebel against that notion and slacked during Promos. So I sort of deserve the poor results, I guess. But I must THANK GOD because I felt so sure I was going to fail Chemistry when the paper ended. Without God's help, I would had failed GP and Chemistry.

After Promos ended, I was primarily worried for my GP, Chemistry and Economics (as always). Though Econs I still failed in the end bcause it's a sub-pass, at least it wasn't a complete fail which would be ungraded.

Chemistry was difficult because there really wasn't enough time to finish the paper and my brain got cooked by mircowaves in 0.3 seconds when I saw the word "solubility" and my brain just melted on the spot. I could not even attempt another question after I saw that word. Haiz...

Physics was actually the first paper I got back and I was relieved that I secured an A because it was one of two paper I had confidence in. It made me slightly hopeful though it was a bit sad it was a borderline A. O.o

Mathematics was sort of well, I'm slightly disappointed with myself because I was hoping for a full marks. Hahas, arrogant me. Actually, it is partly because it was the paper that I had the most confidence on. I guess when you have too high expectations, it is easier for you to get disappointed.

So of great concern now is no longer about retaining but whether to drop Economics. It's a painful decision. I think my father hinted that I should not drop today when I told him that my Economics fared the worst. I am also worried if I decide to continue as a H2 Economics, would the struggle be for naught? So many insecurities, so little answers. If only I knew....

You know what is sad about my life? I had not officially had a post-promos fun activity yet. It's so sad. Everyone's busy even after exams because PW are coming at us at full speed ahead.

This is probably the first time I am doing school work right after examinations. It's totally insane.
I feel so sad, someone please cheer me up now. This instance! Anyway, never-mind because by tomorrow, I will be normal again. XD
(Updated on 18 Oct: I was wrong, got into a worse mood. =.=)

Yesterday, I went back to my secondary school to help out for juniors since their O levels are about to start in 1 weeks' time? Met Leroy, Yiting, Keller, Ian, CaiFeng, Wufong, and many others. Yeah, it was fun to be back there.

Apart from this, hardly anything significant happened after Promos.....

Sometimes, we just want you to be happy even if we don't like the outcome.

Secret War Journal[20 September 2010]
Ah, I found a place in School to improve efficiency of studying, provided a condition is fulfilled. =)

Good to know that doing the other does not make me inefficient in doing the former (as I had thought)
It was simply because I had grown complacent and perhaps it's now a good time to address that. :)

Not sure I should talk about this... Hmm, maybe a good test for something. >=D

Anyway, today my class had PE and it's really rare to have the whole class play the same game and at the same time.

However, I feel that something is still amiss. Perhaps it is just me. Perhaps the wall that I made around me is still around. It won't be lowered ever because of my dark past. That's on the bright side, and of course we all know... :)

Because God have time and time taught me trust always find a way to hurt you the most...

P.S: I know what you did, Eugene. It doesn't take so much of even 3 minutes. (Or a brain, for that matter). Oh well, it doesn't really matter. If only you only you knew how complex it can be for the generation before us, you would realise that your move was a err... nevermind....

Secret War Journal[28 May 2010]

Before I start this post...(oh and this could potentially be a long post)

HAPPY VESAK DAY!!!

Went to the temple downstairs this afternoon to celebrate Vesak day. Like my dad, this is actually our first time celebrating Vesak Day at a temple and understand the Buddhist culture.

It's quite an eye-opener. Instead of taking three joss sticks, you take five.
(And I realised as I was going home, 5 could stand for many things. 5 for the 5th Month, May. 5 for the 5 directions for Chinese. [The 5 legendary Guardians]. Of course, I think that 5 symbolises the Five main deities in the temple.)

Had (double) lunch at the temple. Here's something funny. Today, I finally realise, as do my Father, that there are not one but two temples near our house. How did we find out? When we having lunch at the temple. :p

Like any other temple, you get your lunch by queueing up at a specified area, for the more predominant temple, the one where we prayed to the deities, there was a long queue. So long that one of the temple staff was joking with one man.

Man: The queue is very long and it keeps bending!
Staff: Yeah, it's very long, just be patient. Not even the 80 beads are enough for this queue!
Man(laughs): You should have 800 beads. :)

If you don't understand this joke...er...it is okay. Hahas.

After we got our lunch, we needed to find a place to eat. As the area was crowded, we walked and walked and (unknowingly) went to the neighbouring temple where the pathway was connected which made it seem as  if we still in the same temple.

At this temple, it wasn't as crowded so it was easy to find seats to eat. After eating finish our portions, we found it weird that some people here were eating something different from us and best of all, the catering area was devoid of crowd!

That's when we realise that we were in another temple. ROFL. How long had we lived here again?

Had ice-cream before heading for Compass Point. New Shoes! FTW~! (*Random*)

Pity the ice-cream man outside the Temple, who would buy from him when there are better and free ice-cream provided by the temple? :o

Back to our main topic...

Secret War Journal[1~3 February 2010][Long Post][Picture-Heavy]
I would be amazed if this post turned out to be super short. (Which either would mean that I cut off a lot of details or my summary is freaking imba. Hahas...)
I give up, it's too time-consuming. So just like the pictures do the talking. (not in any order, I really had no time to organise)
