I talk to the rain

Secret War Journal[6 November 2010]
I actually wanted to post this yesterday but I was out for the entire day so this is a bit late.
Well it helped that today rained again. Hahas!

Remembered this video when I was caught in the rain for the next half an hour. I'm sorry if the song sounds emo-ish. I guess that's my mood then.

That's one reason why I'm not fond of rain, rain reminds me of sadness. Most of the time, rain comes when someone close whom I know is hurt or angry. It's sad and rain brings that out even more.
--
Well, on a happier tone, the composer of that song is Yuki Kajiura. I came to know about her through the epic Original Soundtracks she composed for Pandora Hearts.Turns out Joseph is also a big fan of her. Hahas.

Some would comment that her style is the same for most song. If that's the case, I'm okay with it since I like her style anyway. ^^
I think she's one of the few that I actually have so many songs that I liked. I think the second would be Linkin Park. Hahas. All of them serves a certain role for certain situations, I guess.

Another unique feature about her is that she came up with her own language. I'm always a sucker for that, I suppose. One day, maybe someone would decipher it and finally understand her songs and her emotions she was trying to express.

For most of you, the post ends here, the rest would be pure gibberish already. I doubt you would understand what I'm talking about...

Rain...
Never once did you fail to respond when I talked...
Never once had you ignored my ranting...
Never had you cast me away as if I was nothing...
Yet all your replies were irrelevant to what I asked...
Your replies came at me, like you wanted me to stop...
Yet we came into contact, something that should be treasured...
For you are water.

"What are promises to you?"
Criticise me only after I broke my promises.

Secret War Journal[31 October 2010]
Rather pissed now.

Just spend the entire afternoon and night, and early morning to InR.

Now have minor bleeding at the forehead, hand pain and blurring of vision. Seirously WTF.
(and I taste blood at my throat too, must be due to spamming of vulgarities.)

Still have many things that needs to be done by this week. All thanks to InR, I'm rushing like some mad cow for the other assignments. Who InR think it is? Demanding that we allocate full-time to you. !@#$

Anyway, A Levels Chinese is coming(P.S: I typing without looking at the screen because I can't see the words already, vision blurring. So sorry if I mis-type anything. O.o). I guess my mood this weekend is rather bad is because of that. I really hate that subject.

Random, but I now have headache too. !@#$ Stupid InR..

Anyway, I think due to the fact that Chinese is on tis coming Monday, simple things can make me mad. I mean InR is supposedly the easiest component of PW yet I'm losing my anger over it even though the rest I did not. Screw Chinese. Screw PW. Screw it. Screw him. Screw her. Screw you. Screw me. Screw everyone.

Did I mention I'm in a bad mood? Probably not. Don't expect me to be in any better mood because it has been rising since yesterday and has not resided.

I suck at OP. Oh by the way, if you have no clue what is PW, InR, and OP, just ignore this freaking post. I'm not in a mood to explain it. It would take the best of one's mood to describe it and it would totally kill that joyful mood. So I guess you get the rough idea.

Hardly practised for  OP so far, and it's coming the week after Chinese. Why is Chinese placed in the middle of nowhere? Why is Chinese even tested? No freaking clue.

I never revise for Chinese. Not that I care but I try to revise tomorrow though it's very unlikely now since InR just ruined my weekend. (Gee, thanks)
I don't know but either it's the school's fault for 'making' us work on PW full-time or the ministry's fault for putting Chinese before OP. Madness. I doubt those people up there (no, not heaven silly, not that high up) even care if we suffer. They're not affected anyway, they still get paid. Life goes on.

Meanwhile, we suffer. No one cares. No one ever did. !@#$

Unto this world, shall there be darkness.
When we were first born, there was darkness.
Trapped in a unknown land, our first emotion was fear.
Saved by our mother who brought life, explaining why our bond is so strong.
For when we were born, there was only darkness and fear.

Rivieria: The Promised Land

Secret War Journal[24 October 2010]
Before I begin, let's sidetrack abit. This week can be described in one word, PW. Life's a misery right now. I can't wait for OP to be over and forget such a subject actually exist. Seriously.

Anyway, I got bored and made a pun from a physics formula. ^^

Ok, to get some part of life back before school totally rob them all. I started playing a GBA game(I know it's old but it's fun!) called Riviera: The Promised Land

It's a RPG game similar to Final Fantasy. What attracted me to the game is the 'Overdrive' combat system. :)

You play as Ein, the Grim Angel which is the male in the picture. You will try to save the world with the help of your friends. (Note, I cut the storyline by a lot so if it sounds boring, it's not!)

I like Fia, the green hair girl in the picture. But you know what's the sad thing. My GBA never show the special Fia ending! Ahhhhh! Why are they so evil to me!

Supposedly, you get the special ending when she's the closest to you among your friends. I know Fia is in my game because when you fight the final boss, he will kill the girl closest to you. So why didn't I get the special ending?! Ahhh!! (Sorry, I'm just crazily wondering why my efforts was rewarded. LOL)

I went to youtube to look for the video since I didn't get it. *Grumble*

I realise after the video that the Fia ending was one of the hardest to get. But Fia was the closest to Ein! Why! T.T

In the video above, Ein stay behind with Fia in the village and live happily ever after. My GBA ending shown to me was that Ein returned to Asgard. Nooo! Totally different! T.T
The closest to the video would be Fia blushing when talking about Ein. Ahhhh, wasted. XD

Nevermind, I thrashed the final boss in three rounds. Mwuhaha, half-lived him in the first turn. That's for Fia! ROFL.
Wonder why my friend couldn't even defeat the third final boss then, he kept re-trying while I won that guy at the first try. ^^

The game is weird in the sense that I can't tell whether the character is a male or female. I thought Ledah, another grim angel was a female when he's a male. =.=

Then malice looked like a male but she's a female. What the...

Finally, the final boss is even worse, it's a male and a female merged together so I have not idea what gender it is. It has a male voice but have long hair so what gender is it?! *Going crazy*

Ok, before you people say Leroy is crazy, I better end off this post.

What if I'm crazy?
You're wrong.
I'm not crazy? ^^
You're wrong about the 'if' part.
=.=|||

Post-Promos 2010

Secret War Journal[16 October 2010]
JC PROMOS
It's been some time since I talked about exams so I guess it is a suitable time to talk about one of the most critical examination in JC, apart from the dreaded A Levels of course.

Without further ado, let's discuss about my results first.
  • General Papers(GP) AKA English -- 55 (C)
  • Chinese, Mother Tongue Language -- 52 (D)
  • Chemistry -- 58.5 (C)
  • Economics -- 42.3 (S)
  • Physics -- 71 (A)
  • Mathematics -- 90 (A)
At the last day of Promos, I was sort of 'lectured' by Mr Goh which I sort of deserved because I did not have the motivation to study for Promos at all. As the above picture suggested, I think Promos robs students of social life and I sorta went to rebel against that notion and slacked during Promos. So I sort of deserve the poor results, I guess. But I must THANK GOD because I felt so sure I was going to fail Chemistry when the paper ended. Without God's help, I would had failed GP and Chemistry.

After Promos ended, I was primarily worried for my GP, Chemistry and Economics (as always). Though Econs I still failed in the end bcause it's a sub-pass, at least it wasn't a complete fail which would be ungraded.

Chemistry was difficult because there really wasn't enough time to finish the paper and my brain got cooked by mircowaves in 0.3 seconds when I saw the word "solubility" and my brain just melted on the spot. I could not even attempt another question after I saw that word. Haiz...

Physics was actually the first paper I got back and I was relieved that I secured an A because it was one of two paper I had confidence in. It made me slightly hopeful though it was a bit sad it was a borderline A. O.o

Mathematics was sort of well, I'm slightly disappointed with myself because I was hoping for a full marks. Hahas, arrogant me. Actually, it is partly because it was the paper that I had the most confidence on. I guess when you have too high expectations, it is easier for you to get disappointed.

So of great concern now is no longer about retaining but whether to drop Economics. It's a painful decision. I think my father hinted that I should not drop today when I told him that my Economics fared the worst. I am also worried if I decide to continue as a H2 Economics, would the struggle be for naught? So many insecurities, so little answers. If only I knew....

You know what is sad about my life? I had not officially had a post-promos fun activity yet. It's so sad. Everyone's busy even after exams because PW are coming at us at full speed ahead.

This is probably the first time I am doing school work right after examinations. It's totally insane.
I feel so sad, someone please cheer me up now. This instance! Anyway, never-mind because by tomorrow, I will be normal again. XD
(Updated on 18 Oct: I was wrong, got into a worse mood. =.=)

Yesterday, I went back to my secondary school to help out for juniors since their O levels are about to start in 1 weeks' time? Met Leroy, Yiting, Keller, Ian, CaiFeng, Wufong, and many others. Yeah, it was fun to be back there.

Apart from this, hardly anything significant happened after Promos.....

Sometimes, we just want you to be happy even if we don't like the outcome.

Secret War Journal[June 2010][Long Post]
Hey, some forepost here. June Holidays is almost over. So this is really going to be a long post(hence going to take a really long time to finish this). Perhaps the longest post ever. Maybe not. Hahas! As the title goes, this holiday, I bought lots of things. ^^

Motorola DEXT
MOTOROLA DEXTYep! First up, I got a new phone and yes. Rather shockingly, it's a Motorola. It's been eons since it produced a noteworthy phone and when they started to produce smartphones, I'm such a kind soul to support them. ;)

It's not bad though it's pretty reliant on internet usage since its the phone with 'socialising skills'. Hee!

Full Tech Specs here

Since I got the phone, I've been spamming. Now I wonder would the keyboard there break....Well, I hope not. Hahas!

P.S: First month: 1.4k SMSes. Did I spam too much? Hahas!

Laptop -- Inspiron 14R
I bought it early this holiday so right now I'm not right sure of the technical specs anymore. I mean hell, I'm not even sure if the model name is even correct! Hahas!

Well, it's best suited for surfting the net but I realise it is installed with Microsoft Office 2007. Not only that, it comes with the installation disc. Woots! Maybe I should install on my desktop when the beta for Microsoft Office 2010 ends this October. :)

With this laptop, I don't need an external hard disk for my backups anymore. Hahas! I just need to sync the laptop with my desktop work documents. Woots! Now there is lesser consequences when my desktop dies. ^^

However, this laptop is largely for my step-mum. Hee, I want to get a more heavy duty laptop for my gaming, and to replace my desktop of course (but only when it dies. :)

Karate Kid, 4D Class Outing
Ah, a Class Outing for the June Holidays just completes the Holidays experience. Hahas!

This time, we went to watch a movie called "Karate Kid".  The main character is cast by Will Smith's Son, Jaden Smith. Jackie Chan looks very old in this movie, maybe time has caught up to him? Hmm... but I think is just the movie because his character is supposed to be sort of depressed and introverted, I guess. :O

Overall, the movie was okay, not really nice nor bad. Just okay. I like the part where Jaden Smith goes with Jackie Chan to drink some sacred water before he could begin his training. That part was fun and cool.;)

It's great to meet classmates again. We will complain about how JC life is tough, how we miss each other and of course, arguing whether JC or Poly is more tough. Hahas! But I think slowly, by slowly, everyone is adapting to our new school. :) At least, that's what I believe anyway. Hahas!

This time is a bit special, I think. We met straight away at Plaza Singapura instead of Compass Point. I felt a bit weird going towards there alone to watch a moive. In the past, I don't like to go to Plaza Singapura alone because of the confusing exits from the MRT Station. (They still are confusing, but I'm getting better okay? Hahas!)

So basically, class outing was for us to catch up with each other, as always. Hahas!

Infocomm Graduation Day 2010
No, don't get the wrong idea, I had already graduated from Infocomm Club last year. ;)
This picture above was taken near the venue. ;)

Before I begin, I'm sure you people must be wondering. If you had already graduated, where are you attending this ceremony then? Well, for starters, we love Infocomm Club! Hahas. Secondly, the Club is using our prize money that we won during our service to Infocomm Club. During the ceremony, Mr Goh even showed us a financial report of how the funds were used. Hahas! That made my day. :)
Thirdly, our batch didn't really had a graduation ceremony partly because there so few of us.

Alright, let us begin. This graduation party was organised by our juniors, Secondary 3. We're having at Mr Goh's house. So cool! (Coincidentally, Ponti's house is nearby. Hahas! She totally freaked out :)

For this party, I brought along Johnston and Lera. Everyone from my batch came; Keller, Qi Xiang, Christopher, Zi Ying, and Jian Zhong all came. Yay!

I really like to thank the organisers for letting us to have such a fun time there. Good job guys and girls! :)

I remember the first game as that we split into groups and we're supposed to go treasure hunting for fragments of a photo puzzle and we're supposed to piece them up.

We, seniors sort of cheated because we have a larger than allowed group size. In our group, all seniors(that's 5, christopher was not here yet), Johnston, Lera, Mr Goh's Children (that's 2). That's a total of 9 people. Mwuhahas!

So naturally, we're one of the winning team, with the help of juniors of course. Mutual Win! :D

We had more bonding games and I'm sure Lera enjoyed her time there as well. Hahas!

Finally, we watched movies and held the graduation ceremony and many other graduating people were surprised (and touched?) followed by buffet for dinner! Wohoo!

Photo Time! ;)
Johnston and I

Johnston and I. We're going to kill this bunny if you don't comply with our demands. ROFL.
*Note: No animal were harmed in the process. XD*
Group Picture!

Group shot! Everyone's in here! Try to find Zi Ying. (No offence! :D)
Qi Xiang, Leroy, Keller

The Epic counter-attack of the Balloon Strike - Another Balloon strike. Hahas!

Not to mention a funny video that Keller has so kindly to help star in this video. Enjoy! ;)

I would also like to thank Johnston and Marcus for their wonderful birthday present. =]

Leroy, John, ZiYing, Qi Xiang, and Keller

I would like to thank Qi Xiang, Keller, and Zi Ling for buying for my Birthday. Really appreciated!

That's the end of this long post. See ya! :)

P.S: Sorry, for this super duper late post! I know it's October now and these were supposed to be post by June. Please understand that I had examinations after my holidays which really robbed of my time to post this. Well, anyway, hope you enjoyed this long post. Hahas!

Secret War Journal[23 September 2010]

I shall be the blight in the day, light in the night.
I am enemy of friends, friend of their enemies.
I am the scourge of all living, harbinger of all death.
I am the king of the unworthy, commoners among nobles.
I am the blade of Tarrune, shield of Arun.

Just something that I came up with during my usual solitude walk. :)

Life may seem difficult now but there's always a silver lining in every dark cloud.

Secret War Journal[22 September 2010]

Life is so great, they don't give me peace.
Guess, having this Journal is my only solitude, as I had discovered a mere 15 minutes ago.
Perhaps one day, this place would not be suitable for such things either.
Guess, that's just another reason to make this place more "Secret".

Have not decided whether I would change the URL yet. That depends on who is reading this.
Would tell Aaron of the new URL though. :)

Secret War Journal[20 September 2010]
Ah, I found a place in School to improve efficiency of studying, provided a condition is fulfilled. =)

Good to know that doing the other does not make me inefficient in doing the former (as I had thought)
It was simply because I had grown complacent and perhaps it's now a good time to address that. :)

Not sure I should talk about this... Hmm, maybe a good test for something. >=D

Anyway, today my class had PE and it's really rare to have the whole class play the same game and at the same time.

However, I feel that something is still amiss. Perhaps it is just me. Perhaps the wall that I made around me is still around. It won't be lowered ever because of my dark past. That's on the bright side, and of course we all know... :)

Because God have time and time taught me trust always find a way to hurt you the most...

P.S: I know what you did, Eugene. It doesn't take so much of even 3 minutes. (Or a brain, for that matter). Oh well, it doesn't really matter. If only you only you knew how complex it can be for the generation before us, you would realise that your move was a err... nevermind....

Secret War Journal[19 September 2010]
You asked if I was an atheist. I replied yes.

I am actually a Polytheist but few people use this term in Singapore.

I believe in God(s). I do, but my past and circumstances has left me to be in the same category as what Singaporeans call "Free-Thinkers". Being a free-thinker doesn't mean you don't believe in God. It's a very complicated term that's hard to explain.

So it turns out I still lie, despite my commitment not to. This situation was a stupid reason to lie but it was because of my laziness to explain and just wish certain things to be forgotten. Some past are meant to be past. I guess.

I remember my commitments, my promises, my vows, what I ask for is God's forgiveness.

Secret War Journal[8 September 2010]
On the bright side of life,
I have friends for every occasion,
I have friends who are willing to go crazy and high with me,
I have friends who are willing to go serious together,
I have friends who are willing to go through the obstacles together,
I have friends who are willing to help me out in difficult times,
I have friends who are willing to hear me out when I'm down,
I have friends who are willing to take effort to cheer me up,
But that's only one side of the story...

On the dark side of life,
I may never will know who are my true friends,
I may have friends who will betray at the slightest turn,
I may have friends who will badmouth me at the slightest chance,
I may have friends who only pretend to be friendly but truly otherwise,
I may have friends who will sell me out for reasons unknown,
I may have friends who will give ill advice to guide my ruin,
I may have friends who can't wait to be rid of me,
But that's only one side of the story...

Whatever the outcome, thanks for being there...

Another Queer Vision

Tuesday, August 10, 2010
Secret War Journal[10 August 2010]

A vision crashed down on me at the worst possible time. Totally disrupted my concentration on something.

Well, this vision is just as strange as the others.

It makes no sense. Two world unto one.

That is, unless we're talking Combineset here, then it does in a way, I guess.

Nevertheless, the dark rings rotating around in the center was sort of disturbing...

Life goes on...however grim it may be...

A Spirit Messenger

Monday, August 2, 2010
Secret War Journal[2 August 2010]

This morning, 5:45AM, a spirit visited me.

It gave me 3 visions,  all bad.

I don't want to describe reason being I don't wish to and another reason would be that I'm not sure how to describe them.

But I do know that it left me distracted throughout the course of today. By now, I concluded that the visions are too extraordinary to happen.

For one, my dad will never wake up as early as me, much less earlier than me.

Since these events are virtually impossible, this only meant that it is giving another message which I can only comprehend as foretelling of misfortune. :S

Must think positive. Busy week ahead. See ya!

Wish me walking the path of Destruction...

BizClub Farewell Party

Saturday, June 12, 2010
Secret War Journal[4 June 2010][Long Post]
Holidays are here. Well, sort of. I hardly have time left for anything else, after dedicating time for studies.

So you must be wondering how in the world I found time to blog now. Well, for several reasons:

  1. I don't have motivation to do work! >.<
  2. I was supposed to do Chemistry Tutorial but the elearning was not uploaded as promised!
  3. I was supposed to blog last week but was delayed until now....so yeah.
Not to mention the fact that the first week of the holidays were reserved for make-up lectures. (WOW!)

At least it's better (in a way) than secondary school days when almost every single day, we had to return the school though this is definitely more agonizing. There isn't any hope in completing assignments! T.T

Might as well give up. (Joking)

One of the most interesting that happened during the first week of Holidays was the BizClub Farewell Party. No, not for me! I'm JC1 only!!!

On that day, we still had lessons though it ends at early afternoon (the earliest for that week! :D)

Supposedly, I have CCA after lessons, but I need to attend the PW Group Leaders' Briefing because Dion could not make it (for reasons unknown to me...). Well too bad, did I mention I like briefings on leadership skills? Must really thank Mr Goh for this. Hahas!

After the meeting, I went back for CCA (which just ended). I was informed that our group (Yao Hui, Laura, and me) was shortlisted for the BizClub Challenge. O.o

The comments(as heard from Yao Hui): Good team but idea needs to be worked out.

Hahas, our idea wasn't very feasible, no? Oh well, need to spend some time brainstorming (before it turns into blamestorming, hahas, okay, no office talk here!)

Headed home to rest a bit for the party tonight. Hahas!

BBQ!
Once again, I found that Pasir Ris Park is big. Huge. Gigantic. I didn't know Pasir Ris Park extends to behind Downtown East (now I do. LOL)

Having said that, that means I walked one big round to BBQ Pit 3. =.= Oh well, I wasn't really late. Just maybe 10 minutes late? Maybe. XD

Well...it's been a long time since I went to the east side of Singapore, really missed it though the culture of the east had changed much since....

Anyway, after much walking, I reached the BBQ Pit. Sweet!

Saw Ting Wei and friends there. Watched Fabion trying to play 'Dai Di'.

Fabian: So what I put now?
(By the way, the card in play right is an 7, if I recall.)
Ting Wei: Put a card bigger than that.
~Fabian puts a 4
Us: How is that bigger than 7?!

Hahas!  Fabian kept trying to put that card. I didn't know Fabian did not how to play that game. Opps?
--
Okay, my hands are getting tired from the tapping of the keyboard. Time to let the photos do the talking, yeah?

Starting the fire
Us trying start the fire at a pit. Took a long time to start the fire proper (okay, I'm noob at starting a fire) so I gave up halfway. Hahas!

Iron Man 2

Tuesday, June 1, 2010
Secret War Journal[3 May 2010]
I should be revising my GP paper now but I have no idea where to start. I should also be revising for Physics and Maths but i still have no motivation to do so...

Oh well, I'm screwed the coming tests unless some miracle befall on me. ;)

Al-right, let's start this post proper. ;)

As usual, we went to Plaza Singapura, for the movie. This outing was organised by Keller after several compromises because many of us were busy a few days  back. Nevertheless, I'm glad we manage to meet up during the holidays. ;)

Pity Darian couldn't make it that day though.

Had mee sua as a side-order while waiting for the movie to start, since we came rather early. XD

Realised that that was the first time that Johnston tried Mee Sua. O.o

Well, my grandmother's Mee Sua taste better. Ha!

Went to Caesars to look at their beautiful blades.

Here's one!

Like their blades? Click here to visit their website! ;)

Iron Man 2
The moment has come!

The movie is definitely a must-watch. I really like the humour inside the movie. :)

One scene you all should look forward to would be the epic fail scene, beautifully demonstrated by War Machine.
In case you people are wondering, "why should I watch a epic fail scene, I'm not going to watch this movie!", allow me to explain. This scene is designed as a comic relief. So one can say this is a intentional 'epic fail' scene.

Some people who watched this movie said the plot wasn't very well-done but personally, it's not bad. It depends on people's perspective, I guess.

So who should really watch this movie? Die-hard Iron Man fans(like keller? Maybe. ;) and people who likes a good laugh, like me. ;)

(Keller predicts that the next Iron Man movie would come next year, so stay tuned! =])

Mindscafe! :D
After the movie, Keller had tution so he had to leave. Aww...we will meet next time! ;)

So that leaves Johnston, Trevor, and me. We were deciding whether to go home and study for Chemistry(which I hadn't even start revising yet) for tomorrow's test or go to Mindscafe and relieve our stress.

Well, making decisions are too mind-wrecking so we leave it to fate as Johnston will prove to us God's Will!

Behold! The flipping of a single coin! XD

And thus, it was decided we would head to Mindscafe. Here's something funny that happened...

Johnston: Okay, let's go Mindscafe then.
(Johnston and Trevor started walking towards the MRT entry gates)
Me: Hey! Where are you guys going? There's a branch here at Dhoby Ghaut!
Johnston(laughs): I didn't know!
Me: Hahas! No wonder, I was wondering why you say go Mindscafe then you started to go towards the MRT as if you're heading home.
*Laughs*

Walking to the Cafe, we needed to cross several streets and Trevor kept trying to tempt us jaywalk which we didn't. XP

Trevor: This is taking so long! Just jaywalk la!....
(At this moment, the traffic light for the cars turns green)
Me: Okay! You so pro, cross la!
*Laughs*
After a moment,...
Me: Okay, I will cross.
Trevor: Finally, that's what I had been trying to tell you!
(the green man lights)
*laughs*
*Hidden smile*
ROFL! XDXDXD

One of the few priceless moments with friends. ;)
--
We reached the first Mindscafe that I patronise, only to realise that the boardgame we want isn't found here. (NO!!!!~!)

That was echoed by Trevor...

Well, my bad for calling you guys to walk all the way here only to walk all the way back to the MRT Station. :(

Sorry!

Rushed to the MRT Station and went to Funan IT Mall to the Mindscafe there which we were very sure there is the boardgame that we wanted.

Ate Oreo Ice Cream for dinner. Mmm!
--
Played Munchkin in Mindscafe until 8+ and that's when we rushed home. Hahas!

Trevor's not bad for a beginner. I won only one match, still so noob at this game. Hahas! ;)

And that's all for that day. Anyway, by some miracle, I passed my Chemistry Test the next day though I hardly had time to revise for it. Thank you, God! I know, shouldn't not prepare for tests, will make a note not to go for tests so unprepared in the future. Even if I were to go out the day before, I would commit myself to revise for the test a few days beforehand.

See I learnt a thing or two from experiences. ;)

Secret War Journal[28 May 2010]

Before I start this post...(oh and this could potentially be a long post)

HAPPY VESAK DAY!!!

Went to the temple downstairs this afternoon to celebrate Vesak day. Like my dad, this is actually our first time celebrating Vesak Day at a temple and understand the Buddhist culture.

It's quite an eye-opener. Instead of taking three joss sticks, you take five.
(And I realised as I was going home, 5 could stand for many things. 5 for the 5th Month, May. 5 for the 5 directions for Chinese. [The 5 legendary Guardians]. Of course, I think that 5 symbolises the Five main deities in the temple.)

Had (double) lunch at the temple. Here's something funny. Today, I finally realise, as do my Father, that there are not one but two temples near our house. How did we find out? When we having lunch at the temple. :p

Like any other temple, you get your lunch by queueing up at a specified area, for the more predominant temple, the one where we prayed to the deities, there was a long queue. So long that one of the temple staff was joking with one man.

Man: The queue is very long and it keeps bending!
Staff: Yeah, it's very long, just be patient. Not even the 80 beads are enough for this queue!
Man(laughs): You should have 800 beads. :)

If you don't understand this joke...er...it is okay. Hahas.

After we got our lunch, we needed to find a place to eat. As the area was crowded, we walked and walked and (unknowingly) went to the neighbouring temple where the pathway was connected which made it seem as  if we still in the same temple.

At this temple, it wasn't as crowded so it was easy to find seats to eat. After eating finish our portions, we found it weird that some people here were eating something different from us and best of all, the catering area was devoid of crowd!

That's when we realise that we were in another temple. ROFL. How long had we lived here again?

Had ice-cream before heading for Compass Point. New Shoes! FTW~! (*Random*)

Pity the ice-cream man outside the Temple, who would buy from him when there are better and free ice-cream provided by the temple? :o

Secret War Journal[19 May 2010]
One classmate of mine commented that it's easy for me to laugh. BASED on that assumption(On a scale of 1 to 5):
  • If I'm not laughing, entertainment value of conversation = 0
  • Sarcastic Laughing = -5 or 1
  • Muffled or soft Laughing/Slightly Amused = 2
  • Amused = 3
  • Worth laughing = 4
  • Joke of the Day = 5
Go figure.

From 'Dislike' to 'Detest', that's for hurting my friend. Be thankful of his kindness.

And I wonder how I survive, being so near their presence...

Secret War Journal[2 April 2010]
This post is seriously overdue! XD

Oh well, don't blame me, blame the school for depriving me of free time. Hahas. I was joking. Okay, let's make this post short because I'm running short on time. ;)

Went with:
  1. Beatrice
  2. Wei Ting
  3. Jia Pei
  4. Siew Yan
  5. Pei Si
  6. Pei Wen
  7. Yi Cheng
  8. Darren
  9. Lloyd
  10. Benjamin
Sorry if I missed out anyone, it was too long ago...:p

Met quite a few people that day. Saw Yong Liang, Jun Yu, Vivian. O.o

[Actually, on that day, keller and Qi Xiang were at Plaza Singapura too. Coincidental much?]

We wanted to watch the movie during the afternoon but being a public holiday that day, it was fully booked already. So we booked the next one, which would be close to evening.

And, this is perhaps my first time watching a movie in a cinema at the first rows(which are normally reserved for serious movie fan. O.o) Hahas.

Talked with friends to kill time while wandering around the mall and eating stuff. One highlight during this period of time, avoiding Siew Yan's sinister DSLR camera! (okay, not sinister but stalker-ish ^^)

But it was fun and enjoyable talking with Beatrice, Wei Ting, and Siew Yan. Really had a great time that day. ^^

Now the movie review! (No, not really)
The movie's nice, if you hadn't watch by now, you just missed a extremely nice movie! Go grab the DVD and watch at the comforts of your home! Yeah! (Sorry, I a bit hyper from the boredom arise from studying. :p)

The movie is funny and also touching (Pei Si was crying non-stop after that, I was sort of teary during the touching part too. I guess everyone is, it's really a nice movie. ;)

Finally, like all good movies, it has a nice storyline. Yay! Epic!

Sadly, after the movie, I had to rush home for dinner. Haiz...

Secret War Journal[2 May 2010]
It's going take a long time for me to post the one I'm working on right now. So sorry, I thank you all for the patience. I hope you don't mind if I post something rather emo right now...

Friends....are the ones who you find comfort in their company
Close Friends...are people who you confide with when you're down
Best friends...are rare ones who mirror your personality.

Any others ain't friends by definition.

I hurt those who are close to me...
It's better to stay away from me...
I bring sorrow, grief, and death...
