Secret War Journal[10 September 2009] -- Long post incoming!

Movie "9"
Before Johnston, Emelia, and I went to Comex 2009 at Suntec City to buy a printer, we met at Bugis to catch a movie!

Initially, we wanted to watch "J.I.Joe" during the morning since the Comex starts at 12 noon. But what do you know? The earliest movie is at 12:20PM, and that's "The Proposal" or "9". O.o

We discussed before deciding on "9". Meanwhile, we went shopping with Emelia for her phone accessory. In the mean time, go watch this trailer. ;)

Cinematic Trailer of "9"

The Trailer looks a lot like spoiler to me...

Arcade Time!
Walking around in Bugis, Emelia decided on her phone accessory and bought it. Since we still had time, we walked around...and found ourselves in an arcade.

Did I mention how long had it been since I played in an arcade? Very Long...

This arcade gives you tickets whenever you play which you can redeem for a variety of prizes.

The very game that we played was the "Wheel of Fortune". The game looks cool but it's a SCAM!

Johnston inserted the coin and after a moment, pressed the button to stop the spinning light. The light stopped on a number "3".

:o. Epic Silence...

Result: 3 Tickets.

We were like "What?!".
I was pressing the button again, thinking there was a second chance or something. Negative. =.=

The rest of the games gave MORE than 3 tickets. LOLs. Emelia played a game called "Popcorn" and the moment she inserted the coin, it gave 3 tickets. Wow. Then as Emelia played the game, more tickets came...

Mental Note to self: Next time, never play "Wheel of Fortune" there...

Anyway, for $2.50, we got 55 tickets and exchanged them for a lollipop and popping candy. Ooo...

The Movie
And we headed for the Cinemas! Woots! The lights in there faded pretty early and we were like. Emm, where's the "G" Row? (Note: We can't see the alphabets there because they were not lighted and the surrounding was pitch darkness...)

So we resorted to counting from "A". Thank god there weren't much people during these times. That would be hilarious, huh?

After sitting down, it then occurred to me that I needed the toilet. Hahas. So Johnston and I went to the loo while passing our Large popcorn to Emelia(I can't see her in the dark! LOL! Passing the popcorn was a feat, okay not that difficult...)

When we returned, we almost went to the wrong row. (Hahas)
It was really close. Like I said, thank god there were little people then.

Halfway during the movie, I was going to take popcorn(John was holding them) and I found my hands dipped in Nacho Cheese.

!!!

What?! LOL, now you know I'm serious when I said the place was pitch dark?
*Laughing away*
So I ended up eating popcorn with cheese. ROFL!

P.S: Shaw's food and drinks are the Mega Version of its counterparts! I mean, if we did not share the Large Popcorn with one another and bought one for each of us, neither would be able to finish! I mean we were too full for lunch after eating it(yes, even after sharing!)

And here's a queer thing happened: Johnston ate almost all the sweet popcorn(which I like) while I ate most of the salty popcorn(which he likes!)

God! It's like the left hand-side of the popcorn are all salty while the right-hand-side were sweet!

Which explains why I was drinking my Pepsi after my first bite of popcorn. Salty! Hahas!

Okay, the movie, right.

I would say, without spoiling too much, the ending is very inconclusive. Not a good way to end a movie. It's like something is missing throughout the movie.

But hey, the movie's funny. I liked the part when 8 is 'high' on magnets(no, not drugs, they don't eat drugs)

Not much action, but it's all right. But I feel that the movie did not explain enough(maybe they did not want to bore us with the talking, oh well....)

Weird Romance in there. I mean I thought they're all ONE?! How can there be romance? It sounds so...wrong.

But overall, it's rather worth watching. ;) (cut them some slack, would ye?)

Comex 2009 -- It's huge!
Next stop, Raffles Place! Opps, wrong stop. Oh well.

The purpose today was to buy a printer to replace my faulty printer, which is collecting dust at home.

Armed with no maps, we went to a wrong section(Telecos) before going back on the right track.

Looked at phones, laptops, printers, televisions, and ovens. O.o. Yeah, I'm surprised to see ovens on sale there too.

Anyway, here are the details of the Printer I bought, ;)

Video of FF & DoA
Johnston caught of this special video which neither of us had ever seen before. A game that combines FF & DoA Characters. O.o

After buying the printer, we, along with Emelia, of course, went to take a look. There the salesman thought we wanted to buy laptops(since the video was played on a laptop)
Being honest(hah!) people, we said no, but continued watching anyway. Emelia(I think she was answering a question asked by the salesman) revealed that we came for the video. Hahas. The salesman also laughed and let us watched but we felt bad so we left anyway. :p

Candy Floss!
When we leaving, we caught sight of an unusual sight. Candy Floss!

Now you'd be thinking, what's so special about candy floss? =.=

Because...That's the biggest I've ever seen! S1.50 for a big, big, Big candy floss(Pink)!!!

I swear, I'm not advertising but I think that deserves one. :D

So guys, when you are coming for the Comex, do try the Big Candy Floss. O.o

Sugar Rush...(Yes, we tried it too, all three share one...Emelia has sweet tooth, John and I can't stand the overwhelming candy floss, so much...)

P.S: Never went to the gaming Section in the end because we were in a rush. But Xbox 360 is havinga $250 Off(along with games bundled), just to let you know.
*Hint* *Hint*

(Ion) Orchard
Next stop, Far East Plaza!

Took a wrong turn after exciting Orchard MRT Station. Only found out when I reached Far East...Shopping Centre. Zzzzzz...

To Emelia: I'm so sorry for making you walk so much because I took a wrong turn! I'm really sorry! :x

Anyway, reached Far East Plaza in one piece, though Emelia got a blister(I'm sorry!)

Passed stuffs to Mother and deposited Printer at shop before heading off to Johnston's House. (We're in a rush! Emelia got CO at 7! And John's Mother only allowed us to play til 6! And it's 5 already!)

Solution: We took an Taxi.

For some funny reason, it took unbearably long to reach John's home. (Maybe because I was time conscious)

Best Friend's Home
Ah, it has been three quarters of a year since I came here. I forgot I did not come during the June Holidays due to Chinese "O" Levels Examination. Sad. Sad.

His area now has added Security. More Electronic Gates.

Played Wii there. Actually we only had time to play two games. They are..
Super Smash Brothers Brawl Cover Pictures, Images and Photos

You should try them yourself, it's fun! ;) I enjoyed the Smash Bros. Brawl(Because I can win for a beginner! So pro, right? Nah, just luck.) and Mario Kart(though the controls needs some time to get used too. ;)
Home!
Time passes when you're enjoying the fun. Sadly, it's time for me to head home...

Back home, Father brought Printer back and I had it installed and up online. ;)

So yay! I got a new printer! Wohoos!
