Secret War Journal[29 September 2009]
Wanted to post yesterday but I was too busy doing work. From Night Study to finishing homework. ;)

Oh well, I guess I just have to merge two posts into one. :p

Starting, on 28th September 2009...
Spring Cleaning of Room
First up, yesterday was a very productive week.

I finally decided to sort out the mess I created after mass mugging for Prelim 3 and the stacks of worksheets, specimen examination papers, revision exercises that just piled up everywhere in the room. From the bed's surrounding to the Computer Desk.

O.o

Yeah, it was not a pretty sight.

I bet my step-mother must be thanking her stars that I finally cleared out the junk in my room.
--
Sub-divided the thick stack of papers lying around my room into its subject and filed into my bookshelves.

Yep, it's now full. :o

Can imagine how much notes and worksheets that my teachers gave. Hahas.

Thrown away lots of junk mail that I 'forgot' to throw away.

Okay, it was not junk mail. They're informative mails that is now officially overdue.
--
In addition, I cleared the dust that had piled up from the books.

Night Study 28/9/09

Basically, after finishing cleaning up my room, I went for night study.

Kind of routine there, I did Physics Anderson Paper 2 there.

Speaking of that, I think it would be appropriate to discuss how much work I did.

Work Progress
Will need to rack my brains on this one. ;)
  1. Bukit Panjang Addition Paper 1 & 2
  2. Chemistry TYS 2007 Paper 1 & 2
  3. Physics Anderson Paper 2 [90%]
  4. Physics St.Gabriel's Paper 1
  5. English Comprehension "How Money Began" [50%]
  6. Chemistry Catholic High School Paper 1
  7. Chemistry TYS 2006 Paper 1
Come to think of it, I did kind of little work right? Hmm...*Shrug*

Walking on...
After night study, I actually intended to head straight home. Recalled by Jaytii and Co.

*Shrug* Oh well...

Turned out that Yan Zhi wanted to talk to me privately...

I guess only the Gods, he, and I will ever know the contents of that conversation. ;)

Home...works
Reached home. Extremely tired.

It's 9:38PM. God, way past my sleeping time.

Remembered Cynthia's Bukit Panjang Additional Mathematics Paper 2 is with me.

And I remembered the reason why I borrowed from her - I have not done that paper, and that piece of paper is due tomorrow.

Shuckes. How could I forget something as important as that?!

So there I was, rushing to complete that assignment before going to sleep.

10:00PM: Still doing.

Parents returned from the shop, still doing.

10:43PM: Finished Paper 2! Went straight to bed.

Night came and left. Now it's 29 September 2009...

Old Injuries
Woke up with nose bleed.

*Crap*

(I'm having nose bleed right as of posting too...=.=)

Chest Pain. Sore eyes. Followed by toe seizure.

Ouch.

Ouch.

Ouch.

Old injuries came back to haunt me so early in the morning. Zzzz....

Which means that I would need to eat vegetable today to recover my blood loss...Hahas...

Mid-Autumn Festival 2009 Celeb @ NCHS
One word - B_____.

And here's one thing queer during our assembly, the Western Orchestra played Chinese Music while the Chinese Orchestra played western music.

Ironic, huh?

Other than that, nothing else worth noting during the assembly.
--
After Assembly, I went down for lunch with Wei Siang and Donavan. Short after that, I went down to canteen again to solve riddles with Siew Yan and Cynthia.

Wonder why Keller never went down to solve riddles this year...

Oh well, in the end, I only managed to solve to two riddles.

Hey!

That's an achievement for me because I'm weak at Chinese! :p

Hahas, me and my excuses.

Siew Yan and Cynthia went back to classes full of the prizes from the riddles(chocolates, sweets, and potato chips)

Meanwhile, I earn myself a packet of Potato Chips. I gave one to them. ;)

Okay, I just made myself sound pathetic. LOLs...

At least I admit I'm weak at Chinese. Ha!
--
Some riddles were really difficult. I stared at three pieces of paper(with the riddle on it) for more than an hour and could not solve it in the end.

Talk about a waste of my time and killing of brain cells.
Okay, my bad! I should had moved on to other riddles but...oh well. (better not give myself too much excuses. :p)

So, I'm not going for Night Study tonight. It's 6:50Pm now and Night Study had began at my school.

Well, most likely I will be going tomorrow to make up for it. (I guess)
--
P.S: Mrs Hay is buying mooncakes for night study tomorrow! Heehee...

How long has it been since I ate mooncakes? I mean I forgot the taste of it already.
Did I hate mooncake or did I like it? Anyone care to remind me that fact? Pretty please?

Before ending this post, I think I would like to announce something!

Lera finished...
the Mathematics Book of Addition!

Wohoo! Clap!

Do it! (I know you're not =.=)

Okay, I won't force you.

With that, I finished my part of my commitment with my younger sister to encourage her to finish the book within this year.

I'm so proud of her! She managed to finish more than half a book in less than a month! Of course, I marked all the questions she did and she done the corrections.

Wohoo! One book Cclleeeaarrrreedddd!

Time to celebrate? For her maybe...I still have my "O"s to revise on...

Not exactly a long post but yeah, until next time~!

Pathetic Miracle

Secret War Journal[25 September 2009] -- Second Post
Hidden the first post for today for the time being.(It's a bit too sensitive and personal. Just some family issues.)

Anyway...

Prelim 3 Part 3
This should be the last part before I know the overall prelim grades.
English Language
  1. Paper 1 Section One - 18/30
  2. Paper 1 Section Two - 18/30
  3. Overall for Paper 1 - 36/60 [40%]
  4. Overall for Paper 2 - 25/50 [40%]
  5. Oral Marks for Prelim 3 - 24/40 [20%]
  6. Overall for Prelim 3 - 56/100 [C5]
Yeah(in a bored tone), I passed. Shucks.

Paper 2 was very badly done. This greatly pulled down my overall marks for English Language.

I wager my Paper 1 is rather average so I have no comments about this one. :o

It's a miracle because I thought I would get extreme borderline pass (or even fail). So yeah, I got C5 grade and not C6 grade. Woohoo!(lacks enthusiasm)
L1R5

  1. English Language - C5
  2. Additional Mathematics - A1
  3. Elementary Mathematics - A1
  4. Combined.Humanities - A1
  5. Chemistry - A2
  6. Geography - B3
  • L1R5 - 13
Surprisingly, I have to resort to using Geography for my L1R5. Well, at least that proves that my Geography is improving. (I think)

Had a blast at self-study today.

It was a great balance between fun and study(something I missed from my Primary School days)

Celebrated Donavan's Birthday. Did Bukit Panjang Additional Mathematics Papers(because tomorrow have test :o)
Chatted with Keller.

Tricked Donavan with our "magic re-kindling candles"
*He kept on trying to extinguish the fire on the candles :D*

Semi-talked with Ms Tan.

If only school is like this everyday...

Out of my life

Secret War Journal[25 September 2009] -- First Post
Darn pissed right now.

I swear, my freaking brother is !@#$ing spoiled.

To think I actually sympathised him when he was injured.

!@#$ HIM!

The world will be better without him.

@$$-hole brother who made a hell lot of noise when he's injured, bossing people around just BECAUSE HE's freaking injured.

Who does he think he is?!

GOD?!

GET REAL! @$$-HOLE!

If not for my step-mother, I would get him a piece of my mind and life would carry on with my younger brother with a bit more self-discipline without now with him being rebellious against grandmother, parents, and us siblings.

To think my parents actually still turned a blind eye to this. (ARE they blind?!)

And know this, I do not live to have a dictator-style groomed sibling living under the same !@#$-ing roof.

If he thinks he's so great, try beating me in maths!

I bet he doesn't even know what's 1+1. That arrogant brat.

P.S: Don't expect me to teach him that. Like hell I would.

Secret War Journal[22 Septmember 2009] -- Second Post
Prelim 3 Results[Part 2]
Hmm, I have not got back for some papers yet so there's definitely a Part 3(which would be rather short, I think)

Moving on...
Combined.Humanities
  1. Social Studies Paper: 36/50
  2. History Paper: 39/50
  • Prelim 3 Overall: 75/100 [A1]
This is amazing! I can't believe I can get A1 for Combined.Humanities despite the fact that I totally did not manage to start on a 7m Question in source-based.

The best part is...I got full marks the rest of the Source-based questions for Social Studies. (Wow!)

And yes! I'm getting L4/10 for Essay Questions again! Wohoo!

Clearly there's a god. :D
--
Note: Additional Mathematics Paper 1's marks have been amended [Refer to Post dated 18 September 2009]
--
Elementary Mathematics

  1. Paper 1: 60/80
  2. Paper 2: 85/100
  • Prelim 3 Overall: 80/100 [A1]
My third A1 for Prelim 3! Which effectively makes my results better than Prelim 2. Woots!

Geography

  1. Paper 1: 35/50
  2. Paper 2: 30/50
  • Prelim 3 Overall: 65/100 [B3]
Though Mr Quek had not gone through the paper with us, I believe the marks written here are pretty much fixed. Even if I did improve my marks, the grade would most likely still remain at B3.

Chemistry

  1. Paper 1: 30/40
  2. Paper 2 Section A: 35/50
  3. Paper 2 Section B: 21/30
  • Prelim 3 Overall: 71.7/100 [A2]
Massive improvement! Woots! A1, here we come! LOLs, despite saying that, lots of hardwork still need to be put in to get my A1. :p

English Language

  1. Paper 2: 25/50
Shocked. Wow, this is as bad as Chinese. :o

This boy is praying for good marks for Paper 1, pray for him too! :D

Yep, that's it for today. Goodnight! ;)

Cramped Up here.

Secret War Journal[22 September 2009] -- First Post
I'm so sorry for yesterday. I was planning to post something to greet everybody during the public holiday but my eyes prevented me from doing it in the end. I'm so sorry.

My eyes are slightly better now so I hope to make up for the lost time yesterday.

P.S:
I'm separating today's post from supposedly-yesterday's post or else it would so long. :o

New phone until after "O"s
Whoop ee! A fully motion-sensed phone! Here's a 3600 of how it looks! :D

This is a phone that was totally alien to me. Woah, first time handling a motion sensed phone without a stylus pen. It's so hard to navigate and I accidentally called for paid services when surfing through my contacts to see which of my contacts were lost during the transition. (My $$ T.T)

It will take some time to get used to.

In addition, the phone don't allow me to type SMS shortcuts such as "ur" and "LOL". Irritating but yeah, I'm using proper english now! ;)

Fitting for a King
This occasion happened last week, Friday.

Background Information: Refer to post dated [18 September 2009 -- "Self-Treat']

Okay, this happened while we were about to enter KFC for lunch.

Just roughly 3 steps from entering the Fast Food Restaurant, the fire alarm nearby sounded.

*Shocked*

All of us halted, turned our bodies to stare at the red bell which was ringing.
(Did I mention that the sound was deafening?)

Now that's what I call a GRAND ENTRANCE. O.o

The moment we managed to attract numerous stares from people who were in the KFC restaurant, the alarm stopped.

Great, what a great way to attract attention for the wrong reasons.

I can probably guess those people who stared at us figured we were the ones who caused the alarm to ring. (not to mention the fact that we were in school uniform...so humiliating.)

Shock and shame aside, that announcement that we're here is not bad. Makes you feel like loyalty. So fitting for my name. ;)

Now that's what I call life. ;)

Johnston called yesterday. Had a great chat until 11pm. That's when I realise that tomorrow(which is today), I would be a living dead. Turns out to be much worse.

My sore(or blood-shot) eyes made things worse(ouch!). barely could open my eyes wide for more than two seconds before shutting it for a moment of time.

Of course, things turned for a better after the first lesson, after mass napping during reading session and CME lesson(which was the first lesson I had today)

Opps? Sorry teachers! No offence intended! Just too tired!

Lookie at the time! I'm just in time for dinner! Alright mateys! Will post the second half after my dinner!

Until then.

~Over and out.

Ruined Morning

Secret War Journal[21 September 2009]
Rotten Day Encounter with rotten people.

Not to mention my sore eyes(which I got yesterday), wet shoes, and pebbles that get into my shoes.(oww!)

On top of that, I can't believe that my father actually gave me $0.50 for 4 meals! (I think he was short of change during that time but still!)
--
I guess I should be flattered that god has it out for me. =.=

(P.S: Short post, my eyes can't stand the computer screen.)

Expected Doom

Friday, September 18, 2009
Secret War Journal[18 September 2009]
How long has it been since I last posted?

*Took out hands to count*

Oh! Let's forget it.

*Throws up hands in disgust*

Okay, let's stop wasting your time(and holding the suspense)

Prelim 3 Results[Part One]
Before I start, I'm sincerely sorry for splitting into parts. (hey, you can't blame me! The school just showed me only these few subjects for this week and I'm bad at memory, if you recall, so I have to post ASAP anyway. Okay, fine, blame me for being impatience *rolls eyes*)

Brace yourselves(okay, maybe that's meant for me... T.T). My results ain't pretty.
Chinese
  1. Paper 1 was mixed. Section A failed with (11-2)/20 Section B passed with 28/50.
  2. Paper 2 was badly done, as expected. [Refer to post dated 4th September 2009] I got 34/70. Official mark is, as of posting, 33.5/70. I have not registered the change of mark to my subject teacher yet.
Not that that 0.5 marks makes a difference in my current grade.(But I think it helps in the overall...will tell you like..now)

Prelim 3 Chinese Overall Marks -> 50.8/100 (yeah, I passed miraculously.)
Prelim Chinese Overall Marks -> 54.8/100 (not counting that 0.5 marks. Now you understand why?)

Well, Chinese is not my strong point subject anyway(saying Chinese is the most pathetic results all along would be more accurate) so no hard feelings for such pathetic results. ;)
Physics
Not much expectation for this one. Similarly, refer to the post dated 4th September 2009 title"Encounter with Mr.Goh".
  1. MCQ was went through. 31/40. Borders of A1. =.=
  2. Paper 2: 45.5/80. Considered badly done.
And the truth is, I have not idea why. Okay, some were genuine mistakes like I have no idea how to convert 1cm3 to m3(turned out to have used the wrong approach) and wrong directions of the arrow due to misinterpretation of the question(which I did not realise even during checking of paper until Mr Goh specifically pointed out to me. O.o), Lastly, this includes my missing two lines 'of magnetic fields' since I remembered wrongly. *Slaps face*

Which accounts for roughly 6 marks?

Some errors I understood when the teachers explained but some still seems a grey area to me. As in, why can't I write in another perspective? It's logical. :p (opps?)
Maybe that's how I got killed, using too much of common sense. Haiz...Ironic, huh?
Additional Mathematics
This was returned sometime ago. Perhaps the only first piece of good news for Prelim 3 I had received so far. (The first sign that God had so generously bestowed me. *Grin*)
  1. Paper 1: 70/80 (Edited@22 Sept'09)
  2. Paper 2: 90/100
Thank the gods I'm not first in class. (That would be so embarrassing when I had already two subjects close-to-fail type. But I got second in class which is good enough for me. :D)
--
Oh well, I'm pinning on Chemistry now, and Combined.Humans, as usual.

Chemistry felt easier than Prelim 2 (and definitely now as stressing as Physics). Then again, Chemistry is notorious for giving false hope, giving you false impression that it was easy and when you have high expectations, it crushes you with a weight of a blue whale. =.=

Like I said, "Hope is a disease.". How many times must I suffer bad grades to learn these lessons of getting too hopeful? (hopefully, it ends at Chinese and Physics Prelim 3...)

Hope I learned that by the time "O" Levels Examination comes...

Self-Treat
Well, after checking of papers, I went Chris and Co. to KFC to drown my sorrows. (with a lighted-hearted front, of course)

I ate my heart out there.(lols, exaggeration here.)

It's been so long since I ate out in a decent fast-food restaurant.
Want to know why? I over-spent for the last few weeks.
Don't believe? I had been really thrifty this week and managed to save $6.90 this week. This meant that I saved 39.43% of weekly allowance. (Personal Best so far)

Even with the surplus of $6.90, I still have an -$8.60 this month. Judging by the statistics, and if I saved as much as this week(which is close to impossible), I have to save 2 weeks more. *Moan*

Wish me luck on this 'saving money' business to remove the "-" sign from my monthly financial report. ;)

Shocked Revelation
I found this morning, someone in my house had been trying to forge my signature. *Grasp*

I singled it out to either Lera or my step-mother. But I still need more concrete evidence to find out who(and why)

Thankfully, given the fake signature that she drew is obviously different from mine(due to my creativity when I first changed my old signature to this ;), it's still safe for now. Of course, I have to stop this forgery or this person can just withdraw money on behalf of me. *Grasp*

Now, ain't I glad that my signature is so complicated and unique. :D (unlike my previous one which was too common and any school kid would know how to forge it with ease)

Contact, at last
Marcus's Prelim ended this Thursday! I bet his results would be way better than mine, as always. During primary school times, he's always better at me, as is Johnston.

Hahs, I'm so pathetic and useless, ain't I?
Yeah, need to buck up to be on par. But it's so difficult. They're smart people! Unlike me, lols.
But friendly competition would be welcome(right? Hahas).

Hey, I don't mind we all getting the same people, maybe we can go to the same Junior College as planned! ;)

Johnston's case would be a tad difficult because he lives at the East side. (Aww..)

So, let's play by ear for now. Until the results return. Until the results returns, then.

Last day of Holidays

Sunday, September 13, 2009
Secret War Journal[13 September 2009]
Oh great,it's the last day already. I hardly did anything. If it weren't for my previous posts during the holidays, I wouldn't even remember what I did during the Holidays.(okay, maybe not that serious but then again...)

Revision Progress
Well, since last Thursday, I had stopped revising on Elementary Mathematics and Chemistry and focused greatly on Combined Humanities.
Sad to say, I can't remember them in great detail. Okay, so my memory sucks, I thought everyone knew that?

  • Deterrence and Diplomacy
  • War on Europe
  • Nazi Germany
  • Fascist Japan
  • Communist Russia
The rest, I pretty much did not even touch. I accidentally gave away my Secondary 3 Social Studies Textbook which pretty much explains why most the chapters in it are not touched or not well prepared. :o

Note: Words in Orange are added later.

Oh boy, I had not done the Chemistry TYS on Macromolecules (I forgot!) and it's due tomorrow. Hmm.. which to do first?

F.Y.I. Yes, I'm concentrating on Social Studies today, yesterday was History.

War on Pacific
Why was peace threatened?
  • Japan's Foreign Policy (To build an empire in South-east Asia, Free Asians from Western control, Living space for Japan's Population, to control resources)
  • Military Aggression(Growing influence in Manchuria, Military acted without Government Permission, Marco Polo Bridge Incident)
  • Poor Relations with the West -> western bias
  • League of Nation -> Too weak to stop Japan
Why led to the outbreak of war?
  •  War with China -> Japan with few resources
  • International Situation -> Neutrality Agreement with Russia; Colonies were left unprotected due to war in Europe
  • Worsening Relations with U.S. -> Embargo on Japan; Increasing naval presence in Asia-Pacific
  • War Minister Tojo became Prime Minister of Japan -> Made war more likely.
What were the reasons for Japan's Defeat?

  • Japan stretched its armyJapan resources thinly stretched
  • Dropping of Atomic Bombs
  • Island Hopping Strategy by Allied Forces
  • Not all ships were destroyed in Pearl Harbour during Japanese Attack.
  • There were resistance against Japanese Occupation in captured colonies.

If you find any information incorrect, please inform me! Thanks!

Update @14 Sept 2009:
Just realised that I missed out the reasons for the fall of the Diet Government this morning...=.=
Thank god, no serious adverse effects occurred. ;)

The Omen

Saturday, September 12, 2009
Secret War Journal[12 September 2009]
I would like to share with you guys a dream I had no more than 6 days ago...

In this dream, I had my Combined.Humanities Prelim Paper.

The Social Studies had multiple choice questions and True/False Statements. In the dream, I commented that it was easy. (O.o, I mean LOL? Come to think of it MCQs are obviously easier than Open-Ended Questions)

The History Paper was, from what I recall when I woke up, extremely difficult. I'm not sure why, my mind just told me it was difficult. I don't remember what the content was in the paper but it left a feeling that it was difficult.
--
After the History Paper, I had an conversation with some friends. This was roughly what was conversed:

Me: I'm so dead for History, how to pass Os now?
Friend #1: It's okay, you still have time to revise on it.
Friend #2(walking in): Yeah, you have one week to revise anyway.

*Gulp* Judging from this conversation, it's implying that my Combined.Humanities Paper was a week after my Prelim. I woke up straight after that, freaked out.
--
Later in the morning, I found out how silly this was.

First, my "O" levels Examinations is still 40+ days away.

Secondly, my first few papers are definitely not Humanities-related, unless my memory fails me. Then again, it could also mean that right after my prelim ended, my "O" Level Examinations started, then it could be possible.

So using logic, that conversation sounds absurd. Nothing to worry about, right?

Wonder what was the dream trying to tell me...Hmm....

Well anyway, on that day, I revised heavily on History(just to make sure)
Talk about fear and loss of confidence. *Shiver*

Comex 2009 @ Suntec City

Friday, September 11, 2009
Secret War Journal[10 September 2009] -- Long post incoming!

Movie "9"
Before Johnston, Emelia, and I went to Comex 2009 at Suntec City to buy a printer, we met at Bugis to catch a movie!

Initially, we wanted to watch "J.I.Joe" during the morning since the Comex starts at 12 noon. But what do you know? The earliest movie is at 12:20PM, and that's "The Proposal" or "9". O.o

We discussed before deciding on "9". Meanwhile, we went shopping with Emelia for her phone accessory. In the mean time, go watch this trailer. ;)

Cinematic Trailer of "9"

The Trailer looks a lot like spoiler to me...
--
Arcade Time!
Walking around in Bugis, Emelia decided on her phone accessory and bought it. Since we still had time, we walked around...and found ourselves in an arcade.

Did I mention how long had it been since I played in an arcade? Very Long...

This arcade gives you tickets whenever you play which you can redeem for a variety of prizes.

The very game that we played was the "Wheel of Fortune". The game looks cool but it's a SCAM!

Johnston inserted the coin and after a moment, pressed the button to stop the spinning light. The light stopped on a number "3".

:o. Epic Silence...

Result: 3 Tickets.

We were like "What?!".
I was pressing the button again, thinking there was a second chance or something. Negative. =.=

The rest of the games gave MORE than 3 tickets. LOLs. Emelia played a game called "Popcorn" and the moment she inserted the coin, it gave 3 tickets. Wow. Then as Emelia played the game, more tickets came...

Mental Note to self: Next time, never play "Wheel of Fortune" there...

Anyway, for $2.50, we got 55 tickets and exchanged them for a lollipop and popping candy. Ooo...

The Movie
And we headed for the Cinemas! Woots! The lights in there faded pretty early and we were like. Emm, where's the "G" Row? (Note: We can't see the alphabets there because they were not lighted and the surrounding was pitch darkness...)

So we resorted to counting from "A". Thank god there weren't much people during these times. That would be hilarious, huh?

After sitting down, it then occurred to me that I needed the toilet. Hahas. So Johnston and I went to the loo while passing our Large popcorn to Emelia(I can't see her in the dark! LOL! Passing the popcorn was a feat, okay not that difficult...)

When we returned, we almost went to the wrong row. (Hahas)
It was really close. Like I said, thank god there were little people then.

Halfway during the movie, I was going to take popcorn(John was holding them) and I found my hands dipped in Nacho Cheese.

!!!

What?! LOL, now you know I'm serious when I said the place was pitch dark?
*Laughing away*
So I ended up eating popcorn with cheese. ROFL!
--
P.S: Shaw's food and drinks are the Mega Version of its counterparts! I mean, if we did not share the Large Popcorn with one another and bought one for each of us, neither would be able to finish! I mean we were too full for lunch after eating it(yes, even after sharing!)

And here's a queer thing happened: Johnston ate almost all the sweet popcorn(which I like) while I ate most of the salty popcorn(which he likes!)

God! It's like the left hand-side of the popcorn are all salty while the right-hand-side were sweet!

Which explains why I was drinking my Pepsi after my first bite of popcorn. Salty! Hahas!
--
Okay, the movie, right.

I would say, without spoiling too much, the ending is very inconclusive. Not a good way to end a movie. It's like something is missing throughout the movie.

But hey, the movie's funny. I liked the part when 8 is 'high' on magnets(no, not drugs, they don't eat drugs)

Not much action, but it's all right. But I feel that the movie did not explain enough(maybe they did not want to bore us with the talking, oh well....)

Weird Romance in there. I mean I thought they're all ONE?! How can there be romance? It sounds so...wrong.

But overall, it's rather worth watching. ;) (cut them some slack, would ye?)

Comex 2009 -- It's huge!
Next stop, Raffles Place! Opps, wrong stop. Oh well.

The purpose today was to buy a printer to replace my faulty printer, which is collecting dust at home.

Armed with no maps, we went to a wrong section(Telecos) before going back on the right track.

Looked at phones, laptops, printers, televisions, and ovens. O.o. Yeah, I'm surprised to see ovens on sale there too.

Anyway, here are the details of the Printer I bought, ;)

Video of FF & DoA
Johnston caught of this special video which neither of us had ever seen before. A game that combines FF & DoA Characters. O.o

After buying the printer, we, along with Emelia, of course, went to take a look. There the salesman thought we wanted to buy laptops(since the video was played on a laptop)
Being honest(hah!) people, we said no, but continued watching anyway. Emelia(I think she was answering a question asked by the salesman) revealed that we came for the video. Hahas. The salesman also laughed and let us watched but we felt bad so we left anyway. :p

Candy Floss!
When we leaving, we caught sight of an unusual sight. Candy Floss!

Now you'd be thinking, what's so special about candy floss? =.=

Because...That's the biggest I've ever seen! S1.50 for a big, big, Big candy floss(Pink)!!!

I swear, I'm not advertising but I think that deserves one. :D

So guys, when you are coming for the Comex, do try the Big Candy Floss. O.o

Sugar Rush...(Yes, we tried it too, all three share one...Emelia has sweet tooth, John and I can't stand the overwhelming candy floss, so much...)

P.S: Never went to the gaming Section in the end because we were in a rush. But Xbox 360 is havinga $250 Off(along with games bundled), just to let you know.
*Hint* *Hint*

(Ion) Orchard
Next stop, Far East Plaza!

Took a wrong turn after exciting Orchard MRT Station. Only found out when I reached Far East...Shopping Centre. Zzzzzz...

To Emelia: I'm so sorry for making you walk so much because I took a wrong turn! I'm really sorry! :x

Anyway, reached Far East Plaza in one piece, though Emelia got a blister(I'm sorry!)

Passed stuffs to Mother and deposited Printer at shop before heading off to Johnston's House. (We're in a rush! Emelia got CO at 7! And John's Mother only allowed us to play til 6! And it's 5 already!)

Solution: We took an Taxi.

For some funny reason, it took unbearably long to reach John's home. (Maybe because I was time conscious)

Best Friend's Home
Ah, it has been three quarters of a year since I came here. I forgot I did not come during the June Holidays due to Chinese "O" Levels Examination. Sad. Sad.

His area now has added Security. More Electronic Gates.

Played Wii there. Actually we only had time to play two games. They are..
Super Smash Brothers Brawl Cover Pictures, Images and Photos

You should try them yourself, it's fun! ;) I enjoyed the Smash Bros. Brawl(Because I can win for a beginner! So pro, right? Nah, just luck.) and Mario Kart(though the controls needs some time to get used too. ;)
Home!
Time passes when you're enjoying the fun. Sadly, it's time for me to head home...

Back home, Father brought Printer back and I had it installed and up online. ;)

So yay! I got a new printer! Wohoos!

Queer Me

Secret War Journal[7 September 2009]
I'm think I'm going nuts or maybe just more absent-minded.

Prove #1
Let's say this for starter's...

I was eating dinner with my family, when I went to the Kitchen for my second helping, I don't know why but...

I ended up going to the water dispenser. O.o

Okay, I was going to take rice! What am I doing there? For a moment, I was going to draw water on my bowl!!!

This actually happened twice in a row! LOL...

What got into me, man?

Prove #2
I'm going to combine some events here. It began last week during Chinese exams. Halfway through paper 2, I had no idea what I was doing there(hence the 'brain dead' situation I said earlier...)

And during today, I was talking, talking then I paused. Trust me, I had no idea what I was talking earlier...So embarrassing.

Okay, maybe I am getting distracted hell lot recently.

But by what?!

I have no absolute idea...

Work Progress
Meanwhile, I achieved quite(okay, I spelt 'quote'...er..) some stuff today.

  1. Finished Elementary Mathematics Dunman Secondary School Paper 1 (after so long...)
  2. Began on Elementary Mathematics Anderson Secondary School Paper 1(Left 5 Questions?)
  3. Read on Chemistry[Periodic Table][Air]
  4. Finished Chemistry TYS Nov'2001 Paper 1
  5. Finished Chemistry TYS Nov'2006 Paper 1 -- 31/40 T.T
  6. Read up on Social Studies[Globalisation][Gulf War][Venice]

Thanks Siew Yan for motivating me to do Chemistry TYS Nov'2006 Paper 1. ;)
I wasn't intending to it until sometime later but yeah, I'm glad I did it. :p

P.S: Tell me about it, tall people are all weirdos! XD

P.P.S:
I ate chicken only yesterday! And I ate mostly vegetable today! Woots! Talk about a meat-only and vegetable-only diet! LOLx!

Secret War Journal[6 September 2009]
I'm losing it.

I'm definitely losing it.

Lousy Grades,

Sour mood day and night,

siblings who can't stop playing...

I will be amazed when I still have my wits around me after this madness...

P.S: It all started with that god-forsaken title of "Third in Class" *Tsk**Tsk*

Where is the god who had helped in the past? Give me a sign!

Best of all, it came up on the news(which is how I knew of this site) which means it's definitely safe and reliable. ;)

So, the next time you and your family have no idea where to go to have fun, why not visit that site to plan your outings? Who knows? You may even learn a few things or two.

Just to clarify, I'm not advertising, I'm recommending.

Secret War Journal[4 September 2009][2nd Post]
Boy, what a day...

I'm back from teaching my younger siblings simple mathematics. Actually, just simple addition. :p

Chinese Paper [Prelim 3]
Paper 1 was manageable but Paper 2 was just alien to me.

Even so, Paper 1 was not without difficulties. Great.

For starters, I'm writing formal letter for situational writing and I have no absolute idea what's editor in Chinese, much less write it. So I figure I would lose around 1 mark or so for format-wise.
--
Paper 2 was a real tough one. I have no idea what the passages were talking about!!! At all!!!

It's like I took the wrong paper.(which I really thought, it seemed so Higher Mother Tongue-like Style)
I mean, I could not even understand more than 10% of the words on it! (okay, so maybe I exaggerated..)

So yeah, another subject screwed up. Woots! Shucks...

Encounter with Mr.Goh :o
Out of the blue, Mr Goh appeared. He was initially looking for Yi Cheng, Dylan and Lloyd. But as if an afterthought, he wanted to talk to me.
For some reason, I kind of know that he was going to talk to me about Prelim 3 Physics Paper that I took. And guess what? I was right.(then again, it's like Duh, he's my Physics Teacher. What else could he talk about?)

He said my Paper 2(the section that he marked anyway...) were not exactly well-answered. I can't grasp the key words...
Not to mention that my Paper 1 was not up to my prior standards. Haiz..

So that means my Physics is classified 'Gone Case'.

Goodbye A1...T.T

Had a nice chat with John again. Still haven't found the time to contact Marcus...:o

Just realised that my father's dial tone now has a song.(instead of the monotonous dial tone) but I'm pressing for him to terminate that service since that incur charges on the phone bill. Marcus's phone used to have that too, and he said the service provider charges for that service.

So yeah, as the title of my post suggests,  my 'holidays' has begun. It will last one week and it could be well be my official first holidays in my four years in this school! Woots, though at a rather bad time but yeah...
Hmm...maybe I should go revise on the next paper now...

Until we meet again then. Adieu!

Foxtrot: The Return of The Lone Iguana

Secret War Journal[4 September 2009] -- Revisited
Okay, so I'm supposed to be in school right now, having my Chinese Prelim...
(I swear, I'm really at school! It may seem impossible but it's true~!)
Right, whatever...here's the book cover:

The Return of the Lone Iguana : A FoxTrot Collection

Yep, I got this book from Johnston from Last year's birthday and I would like to recommend everyone else to buy it(along with other Foxtrot Comic Strips ;)

As the picture says, click on it to look inside! Yes, it offers sneak previews! Hope you like it. ;)

I want to read "Camp Foxtrot' *Hint* *Hint* Hahas.
--
Anyways, read Fxotrot Comics! Trust me, you won't regret it. ;)

Until next time then...hahas

Teacher's Day '09

Tuesday, September 1, 2009
Secret War Journal[31 August 2009][1 September 2009]--[Second Post]
-- Just charged Ipod :p

HAPPY TEACHER'S DAY!!!

Said I would post about this. Hahas. I' sorry(especially to teachers) for this sort-of-late post because I was revising on my Additional Maths(hope I offended no one. Ha!)
--
P.S: And yes, I finally finished Ngee Ann AM Paper! Woots!
--
Alright, our school celebrated Teacher's Day cum ACES Day yesterday. Due to the current H1N1 pandemic, our school conduct a separate session for Lower Secondary and Upper Secondary.

The Lower Secondary were to first to attend the performance while we, the Upper Secondary, were downstairs conducting ACES Day.

Well...personally, I can't exactly comment on ACES Day since the whole scene was so chaotic that if our PE Teacher, Mr Lim, did not 'brief' us on the dance steps earlier, I would be completely lost. :p

The reason for the chaos, which I believe is, would be the speakers. I think they need to invest on a better speaker system because their voice were all muffled and sort of drowned by other noises. >=D
So I could only see the teachers' faces, giving instruction that were pretty close to shouting, but no audible strings of words reached me.(short of my own thoughts..hahas.)

Well, at least it turned out well. The school(or half of the school, since the other half was in the hall...) were able to get an idea what's going on(roughly).
Went through the dance twice before sitting down and doing some clapping sequence.

Did I mention I suck at these? Yeah, so I was basically 'clapping'. :o
--
What I really hate is that the school management decided to videotape the whole lot of us exercising. That's so embarrassing. (not to mention the sea of chaos it would had recorded...)
--
P.S: The Vice-Principal wasn't too happy about our chaotic 'dancing' there...oh well...
--
Hall Performance was really plain sad. I think the Organising Committee sort of slipped. I mean, they actually allowed three consecutive dance performance(not to mention similar dance styles).
God, what happened to other forms of performance? Like drama? (Sorry, I like the school drama club, they're good at comedy)
Three dances in series is like treading on the path called 'Overkill'...(No offence intended)
Get my point? Good.
--
P.S: And why choose Korean music...=.=
No offence, but I'm not a fan of Korean Music...
At least, not all were Korean Music....Phew..
--
Overall, I like the String Orchestra(one of the FEW that is not dance performance. *Roll Eyes*). One word - Epic! Woots! Fitting for the opening of the Performance in general. ;)
--
P.S: Classical Music is better than Korean Music (in my opinion) Ha!
--
Okay, before I spark off a 'music' war here, let's move on...
--
I don't exactly get the meaning behind single rows to 'allow councillors to move around' because through out the performance, no councillors were moving around. So er..huh? Did they just anyhow give a reason to justify this?

I mean, I'm pretty sure we have sufficient space to have double rows per class. *Roll eyes*

Hmm, maybe the real reason is to minimise the spreading of H1N1 influenza if someone in the hall is infected. (by increasing distance between each class, and in case you're wondering..YES, we need to leave a spacing between classes...Zzz)
*Nodding head* Guess that's it. Hahas, me and my logic.
--
But hey, I like the annual 'Guess the teacher' Quiz. It's so fun and creative every-time. :D

This year's prize: Chocolates! Hahas!!!
--
On to teacher's gifts.

I think this year, our class just stand out. From writing teacher's day dedications to making cards, to buying unique gifts.

Boy, you should have seen the Staff Room after the performances, the place was pretty much filled with 4D-ians! (And yeah, we're supposed to be in class, naughty us..but yeah...hahs)

And we accidentally caused a jam there. (opps?)
--
Let's see, I think I tell you about what we (jaytii, chris, lai yin) bought for Mr Goh.
We bought curry AKA Golden Curry.

If you're asking why, here's why!
Mr Goh's full name: Mr Goh Kar Whee. (Try reading it out loud ;)

After Mr Goh understood why, he gave us a =.= look. *Roll on the floor, laughing*

Someone gave Mr Goh a sculpture of Eiffel Tower. The rational behind is that Mr Goh is as tall as the tower. O.o
--
Meanwhile, Mr Lim got the 'Teacher's Report Card" which could be bought from ActionCity. It cost $19.90.
Wow~!
[Note: Johnston went to make his own one! So cool!]
--
During the performance, a boy went to Mrs Sim and gave her a banquet of flowers, knelt down in a "would you marry me?" style.

I'm not exactly sure if he did say those words but everyone else got the idea. :D

The thing is Mrs Sim is already married. Ha-ha but that's cute of him to do that(and daring).
--
P.S: Oh, and if you're waiting for me to write my teacher's day dedications here, happy waiting because I had already written them in school and I have no wish to publish them here. (call me shy, whatever...)
--
Ate lunch with Chris and co before heading home.

Chatted with Johnston, I have to really thank him, he really cheered me up big time. :D
Thanks pal. ;)
--
Johnston mentioned that Kong Hwa School, the primary school that we graduated from, did not allow him to go in because it was a normal school day that day for them. It's so sad. To us, who could not see our teachers, and to the students in there, have the school forgotten Teacher's Day?!

And yes, the teachers in there are also very sad, because we figured the school is celebrating Teacher's Day tomorrow(they had to, they better)

John also said that Mountbatten Student Care changed a lot. I should go take a look for myself one day.

For starter's, the spiral staircase is now walled up, the spacing beneath the stair steps were once open but it's now walled up. It' so sad..
--
John's retaking Chinese "O" Levels Examinations too. That makes both of us. :D
Should ask Marcus about this too. Hahas.

Alright! Done! Time to indulge myself with food. Hahas. I'm currently at home with my younger sister. Yeah, time to eat out again...
