28 January 2008 [Chinese New Year 2009 Day 3]
Sad sad, today I had to go to school but I think this is a good thing because my family is expecting visitors, my father's friend, to come. I don't want to be present even though I would be able to receive some red packet. It would be awkward.

Note to Marcus:
Hey I will feel awkward, okay! It's not as if I will not ever feel awkward. I will be awkward when there more than 3 people there whom I do not know.

Still there were some false alarms in my class, for most of the males, that is. (Is it just me or is that the girls are more reliable in their information? Nature's Gift, I guess)

So what's the false alarm, you would be asking.

Early in the morning, some people in my class(a male -.-) told yet another someone(yet another male =.=) that today have dictation for Chinese .

I thought it was Thursday? Weird. But with so many(funnily, all males..sheesh)of my classmates, I started to believe that maybe it was my memory failing and today indeed have dictation.

Oh god, I have not studied for it yet and I left the Textbook in class!!! AHHH!!! How? How? How?

No One brought either so I guess half the class are planning to fail this dictation since if the information is correct, the dictation will start once class starts! Oh my god!!!

Thankfully, before I went into some sort of frenzy looking for textbook to prepare for the dictation, when we were going up the class, I asked the girls and they told me the dictation is tomorrow, not today. And as usual, with more people telling me it's tomorrow, I assume it's tomorrow.

And lo and Behold! When class starts, the Chinese Teacher told us that the dictation is indeed tomorrow, all along. =.= I have been had.

Lesson Learnt: Christopher and others can only be trusted 15% of the time.

That reminds me, I have not filed my Chinese File yet. Have to remember to file tomorrow.

Next up is Chemistry. During the lesson, I realized that I'm starting to be not able to catch up to Mrs Hay lessons. This is a bad sign...

Today we had eye check-up. My eyesight is really, Really, REALLY bad now. I really hate those days when I got 'forced' (before I say damn you to certain people who pulled me back one row..) back one row. I think staying at that row, that back in class had really hurt my eyes, HARD. I really hate the students in my school. Before this turns a HATE Speech, let's move on...

Without spectacles, I can't even see a single character on the board during the check-up. I think the nurse was really shocked.
Guess that meant I had to get a pair of new spectacles. *Sigh* So my record of maintaining my eyesight is only 2-3years.
The problem now is that now have global economic downturn and I am not sure how to say it to my father about paying for a new pair of spectacles without getting slaughtered by him for the unnecessary cost for the spectacles. I'm truly vexed. AHH! Why is life so hard to be with?

Today CCA is yet another depressing part of today. It's the third day of Chinese New Year and I'm already so depressed. Why is my life so miserable in my secondary school? I really miss the good fun days in my primary school...(I guess most of you guys too..I'm not alone :D)

I think it is a mistake to learn how to draw Manga for our club(because I hate art, no artistic talent)

But to the credit to those interested in art, I will tolerate because I don't expect everyone to share the same sentiments as me.(I doubt anyone does ;)

But I doubt anyone in my school ever realize that Keller had hit on the mark last week when he wrote the clubs whiteboard:
If leroy skips CCA, the sky will fall
I mean, how did he know I had thoughts of skipping CCA. Scary....But anyway I went, because I felt committed to go. See, they should be touched. Whatever....
Sort of wasted my time there, doing things that I long ago done, failed at convincing Mr Goh that there no such thing as "GODMODE" extensions for our portal that suit our needs since I had practically went through the list of thousands extensions.

As I said, I wasted my time and my failure to convince him really made me depressed, making wonder why I even bother to come, wasting my precious time there.

And yet another lessons learnt:
Keller and Qi Xiang can not be trusted to be given Admins Status.
It's just too dangerous. Keller went around installing anything junk he sees, it's that horrifying. Worse, I have to clear his mess. To heck with that, screw him, screw them.

They are just fooling around. Yet another reason why I'm wasting my time babysitting them.
Christopher got really determined that reservation system could be used for attendance marking.

I have thought of this before but COME ON! Reservation and Attendance? No Link! For god's sake.
I'm with _____, you know what I mean. (hands up in despair)

Towards the end of the session, I sort of gave up and let Christopher do what he want.

And sorry to Zi Ying for me venting my depression on you(if there's such an action, note taken from the action verb, venting anger)

And I think I screamed at Peon, sorry! Don't take it to heart. I'm just feeling down.

Seriously, I think Zi Ying and Jian Zhong are the mature ones there. Sigh....

I know this is abit of a depressing post but this is how I feel when I post this, hope you guys don't mind.

Hope this cheers up the mood:
Happy collecting RED PACKETS! AND MAY LADY LUCK SHINE FOR YOU FOR THIS YEAR!

26 January 2009 [Chinese New Year 2009 Day 1]
Before I talk about Chinese New Year, here's the pictures of what Jaytii made from the CNY Class decor excess, as promised:
LELOY TAG!
LELOY TAG!

Right, back to Chinese New Year...

Today I am the last family member to wake up. I'm so proud of myself of that fact(just kidding!)

When we arrived at my Grandmother's house to give blessing,(is that the right word? Who cares..) Qi xian's family was already there!

This year our family is the last to arrive. Yuki's family came so early that no one else saw them came. Expected. But Qi Xian's early appearance certainly was not expected.

New Year brings change, I guess.
Change for the best, I hope.

But good things are not changing! My grandmother cooked Mee Sua! Tasty one! Wohoo!
So sad this time she no energy to cook more so I only ate one bowl.

We left the house at 12+ and went home. We were all tired so we went to sleep.
The whole family actually went to sleep, including me! It's a miracle because I seldom sleep in the afternoon.
Hey I want to recover the lost sleep from the holidays, okay!?

And you know what? Surprise! My father's cooking Western food!

Pork Chop, chicken chop, french fries, wine. You got it!

Pst, sorry for not taking photo of the meal and display because everybody's eating the food and thus making it look unglam :p
But hey, the display and taste was good. My parents are such good chefs! Pity they are not hired cooks :p

My father was kind of sad, he fried the french fries first and he went out of the kitchen and shouted, "Who wants to eat french fries!?"

My mother and younger siblings were watching television while I was using the computer.
I feel so sad that everybody ignored him, engrossed at one's activity.

So I came out and say," ME! ME!"

Then he went back to the kitchen.
Later, I asked my mother if she wanted to eat french fries and later my younger siblings went to eat too.

:D I started a Chain effect.
--
Today, I learnt how to uncork a wine bottle(so slow...)

Quite fun though the result was rather bad for a first-timer. HAhas.

Then my mother actually force me to use the child wine glass.
It's so freaking small.
I was like, "WAD!? I'm suppose to use the same as my younger siblings?" And I stare at my smallish wine glass.
Oh well...

The Chicken Chop/Chicken Platter was super duper nice!!! I ate half of the chicken available. HAHAS...

To my father's credit, Pork Chop was nice too, just not as nice. :D

SMS John a HAPPY NEW YEAR!

BTW, I yesterday forgot to mention that my aunt made me love letters already. I feel so sorry for my father for buying for me love letters two days ago because I was craving for it. Now my house have two and I'm sure my aunt's love letter taste nice than the supermarket one. Haiz..I wasted my father's money. I feel so guilty...

That should be all for today.
Hope for the best. See ya!

25 January 2009 [Chinese New Year 2009 eve!]
Woot! Chinese New Year is round the corner!

Today, we did Spring Cleaning Part 2 and I cleaned my room. The Fish Pond was cleaned, my father's car washed(though it rained later in the day, much to my father's grief)
--
We had ham for breakfast! Woot! Not picnic ham but big and tasty ham! Man, I love this day :D

And I finally read the fifth book of The Wheel of Time! (Marcus, read faster so you can pass me the rest of the series ;)

As any student would do, I started a bit on homework though I got very frustrated and gave up without completing a single homework.
One wonders how I going to finish it during Chinese New year...Oh well....
--
My little brother went for a haircut. So jealous, hahas. He looks cuter!

We had fish for lunch though I prefer the oily meat. Woot! I ate the entire plate of meat with rice with that greenish-yellow vegetable. So tasty!
I must thank my father for letting me eat the entire plate with rice :D
--
At around 4 o'clock at night, my family started out to my grandmother's house for the reunion dinner and my parents had also promised to help out at the cooking for dinner.
--
If I thought my family would be the first to arrive at my grandmother's house, I'm so proven wrong.

Simin and her sisters had already came and LEFT! WTF!?

That was really early.

Shortly after, my 5th aunt's family arrived

What is with this year? Why is everybody is so early this year? Oh well, at least I would not be bored with nothing to do there ;)
--
And so my younger siblings went to a bedroom to play the toys that my cousins and I played, ten years ago...

Meanwhile my cousins and I went to play poker cards.
--
This year's Reunion Dinner, we have:
  1. BBQ Chicken Wings! (I ate alot of this)
  2. Pig Intestines Soup (It's nice but I drank so much that I got too full...)
  3. Curry!
  4. Roasted Duck (prepared by 5th Aunt!)
  5. Pork Ribs (prepared by my father)
  6. Broccoli
  7. Fishballs!
  8. Prawns!
  9. Fried Stuff
  10. And more!
Not to mention the delicious New Year snacks available for consumption there!

We even have seaweeds, no link right?
--
Then my cousins, aunts, uncles and my parents went to to gamble with poker cards.

Almost all, since Yuki and I did not gamble.

We were like, oh my god!, I have another cousin who don't gamble!

How great is that? I'm not alone. (LOLz?)
--
It's pity that I have to go home at 9 o'clock because my younger brother needs to go home and sleep.

Haiz....

This year, I did not take part in any countdown party, was watching anime when Chinese New Year arrived. Hahas.
--
Zi Ying asked me something very queer, she asked me how much money I got from red packet as if Chinese New Year had ended!

I gave her the answer of $0. She gave me sort of terrified reply. LOLs?
--
P.S: Jing Ting used the excess Chinese New Year Class decor to cut out my nickname! I intend to take a picture and so you guys! ;)

And sorry to Bao Lin for accidentally calling you Jia Pei, I don't know what got into me. My head's not well, I guess..
--
Lastly,
HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR!!!

24 January 2009 abt CNY Shopping Spree!!!
Today, I woke up very early, just to take a bus all the way to the other side of Singapore to pay respects to my ancestors and my late mother.
--
We arrived late, 1 hour late. Ate lunch there in the temple and god! They changed the rules, the food is no longer provided free! They charge you $2 and it's not even food that are up to standard, my father had to end up paying $7 more later outside to buy more food.

Talk about economic crisis. Sheesh.
--
That's when I realized that my PSP is spoilt AHHHH!!!! (wanted to check the time using my PSP)

Damn! How did the inner screen get cracked? Pure anguish and the pathetic quality of a PSP. Shessh.
At least the memory is intact, hmm, have to find some free time to take my PSP for repair, but where!?

Someone,...tell me.....
--
I'm not that attached to my PSP so I did not get depressed. My father decided that taking bus home would take an eternity(lol, he hates bus lots)

So he is bringing us home by MRT. Man, I prefer bus. :p
--
Saw Hai Jin and Yi Cheng at the MRT Station, I don't think they saw me :p
[Did not bother to greet them...]
--
We went to Cold Storage to buy some stuff for the coming Chinese New Year.
--
Here's a list of what we bought:
  1. Meat
  2. Vegetable
  3. Love Letters(requested by me)
  4. Pineapple Tarts
  5. Egg tarts
  6. Drinks
  7. Wine
  8. Ham
  9. Eggs
  10. Flour
  11. Baker's Yeast
  12. Rice
  13. Milk
  14. Milk Powder
  15. Tons of more snacks
--
Meanwhile, my stepmother who is at home is doing spring cleaning, all by herself. So hardworking. Thanks, mum!

Hey I did help her when we reach home. ;)
--
Played with Johnston at night. :D

23 January 2009 @ Singapore~!
Hi guys! I'm very sorry for not posting for a very long time, I have been really busy lately with many school-related stuffs since this year is a critical year for my future :D

Well, I will recap a little about what had happened for the past few days.

I had three Maths Tests and Mrs Sim, my maths teacher, had returned back the papers back to me.

Let's see, my results are as follows:
  1. Additional Maths -> Class Test (1) -> 74/100
  2. E.Maths Class Test(1) -> 69/100 [Only 12 people passed!]
  3. E.Maths Class Test(2) -> 46/50 [Second in Class!]
Not bad right? I think so myself...:p

Right, let's move on to today's topic...

Chinese New Year is coming and our school celebrated Chinese New Year 2009 today!

We had Nice HandWriting Competition for the first hour and obviously, I did not win because my handwriting is really ugly. But I like my handwriting! ;D

After that, we had normal lessons for a hour and a half. The first lesson was maths and we got back our Class Test(2) papers from her since we had the test just yesterday.

Our Maths Teacher is so efficient, right? So fast she marked finished the whole class's papers.

Well, at first she announced that I was top in class for this test and I got a shock. It is really amazing, because Jie Sheng is so much better at maths than me and he did not get top?

One word to describe my feelings then: WOW...

But shortly after that, she found out that Jie Sheng was top in class after all, he was higher than me by...1 mark.

LOLZ? Oh, well. No hard feelings, it's kind of stressful to be first. Second is good enough for me. ;)

It's rare to be second place in a competitive area, you know?

And I got correct for a question where the entire class got wrong! I feel so proud of myself! LOL?

The Second period was Social Studies. Mr Rahim came and gave us assignments.

We were supposed to write a reflection about how we felt after watching videos about terrorism and its impact.

But I did not did much because Mr Rahim later went on to talk about the Economic Downturn and how grave the situation is right now.

So I will take this chance here now to say this:

I REALLY HOPE THE GLOBAL COMMUNITY CAN SOLVE THE ECONOMIC CRISIS FAST!
:D

The last period was P.E.

Vanessa forgot to bring her P.E. Attire, she was worried that she's the only one who will get punished or something like that.
Later, I told her that she will not be alone because Cynthia is not in P.E. attire too(she was not feeling well)

Well, anyway, none of them got scolded because today, there is no need to wear P.E.attire as today is just briefing on our P.E. projects.

I became the leader for a group. LOL? How did things turn out that way? Man, more burden for myself.

Ah, before I talk about recess, I failed to mention that Cynthia is not feeling well since yesterday.

Now she has flu. Bad timing, if you ask me. If you get ill near Chinese New Year, you can't get to eat the delicious food during that festive period!

So I was like telling her to take care! LOL?

Well anyway, she seems tired during the morning though she seems to look better after recess.

And I still had not figured how I came to help Cynthia buy food...Hmm...

For recess, I had potato chips while I helped Cynthia to buy two Siew Mai.

She did not pay up(not like I expecting her to pay) because she had no change, and she actually went around to ask for change. LOL....

And I managed to fix Vanessa's Staple! Woot! But I got bored today and totally took out all the contents of her pencil case. :p

During recess, after I bought the food, I was talking with Cynthia when all of sudden, Wei Ting grabbed my right arm and pulled me out of the class.

My first thought was : "What the...." - Seriously, I was not joking.

She did not talk when I asked her what's going on. But she just dragged on and on. We reached the spiral staircase and Cynthia appeared and told me to not let Wei Ting to pull me and she took my left part of uniform(maybe it was arm, I forgot) and pulled.

What the..., are they playing Tug-of-War? And, do I look like a rope? (please say no...)

But Wei Ting looked determined to pull me to a place and if you recall, Cynthia was not feeling well. So Wei Ting pulled me off but I stopped(for a moment)...

I wanted answers. Cynthia said Jia Pei told her to prevent stop Wei Ting.
If that was an answer, it was definitely uninformative.

Well, anyway Wei Ting dragged me to H.O.D. Room and wanted me to call the judges for CNY Decor. Whatever....

Jia Pei and Bao Lin followed soon. Blah, Blah, Blah.

And so the full story came out(at LONG LAST!):
  • Our class lost at the CNY Decor Competition
  • Wei Ting wanted the Judges to re-judge
  • So she wanted me to call the judges(lol? why am i involved?)
  • Wei Ting got kind of depressed by the fact that there will be no re-judging
One of the judges actually came out and console her.

There goes my peaceful recess. *Sigh*

There are a few things I don't get it, Bao Lin and Jia Pei still got the mood to laugh, at random stuffs, despite the fact that Wei Ting, their friend, is crying. A bit weird, right?

Well that's none of my business. It's time to go to hall for Chinese New Year Celebration, and I got pulled out by Mr Goh when walking with Bao Lin, Jia Pei and Wei Ting.

Mr Goh and I started to talk about the Infocomm Club Portal which reminds me that I have not told you about it.

My school's Infocomm Club is making a portal for ourselves and it is available at http://nchs-icc.com . Do visit!

This year's Chinese New Year Celebration in our school is really REALLY Boring. So I'm not going to waste time talking about that.

And that's all for today, because it's late, close to midnight and I want to sleep(and play). BYE!

10 January 2009 @ TP
We took the free shuttle bus to the MRT station which we later took the train towards our destination.

It was was late afternoon and almost everyone was tired[I'm not ;P]
--
Something funny happened when we were on the train...

The train was packed with passengers and we just managed to squeeze in to the super crowded train.

During the journey, a seat became available - the priority seat.

And none of us wanted to sit.

And for some weird reasons, they all wanted me to sit.

Some of their reasons are:
  1. Since I was helping carrying most of the stuffs, they were worried I would snap(like a bamboo =.=). So I had to sit to prevent that.(because no one could help them carry then...)
  2. I was a 'walking stick', so I'm featured in the picture that says whom to give seat to for priority seat(there was a man using a walking stick)
And so, all of us stood, letting many seats be taken by other people, refusing to give in.

When we're close to our destination, Keller got sort of fed up, maybe because he was reading a book then.

But that was a good move, everybody started sitting DOWN! LOL?
Does that have anything to do with pride? Hmm....
--
Well, whatever.

Keller was super strange.

He had tution that day around 4 or 5 o'clock at night , i think.

Well, when we reach the polytechnic at last, it was 4 o'clock. And we were entering the campus when he, out of the blue, declared, "I'm leaving in about 10 minutes time."

I think we all gave him a expression filled with confusion. Hah!

Weird guy, I think he came for the sake of coming.

OR, simply to rich to spend on the transport fares. LOL!
--
By now, everybody's like all sleepy. So I was carrying the magazine for them and I asked cynthia, "If I hit with the magazine, how awake would you be?"

The reply was: "I would be Very Awake. Because I would be 'killing' you"

Hey, I think you guys know what I'm intending to do.

She then moved on to talk with Bao Lin about something(I was not caring).
--
Her head was turned, the chance here was perfect. And so my magazine, BUT not hitting her YET. Just simply placed in front of her, where she was heading.

And, 'SPLAT!', she got hit. HAHAs, this scene is freakingly familar.

Her reaction was rather slow motion. She said to Bao Lin,"Help me carry". She passed her belongings to Bao Lin.

UH-OH, this does not look good in any way whatsoever....

Then she chased after me. God! I got handicap you know, with all those stuff I'm helping them carry.

Well, thus in the end I got a hit at the back in return for smack on her face..(:P)
--
Cynthia's Sister was waiting for us on the other side of the slope, we're climbing in to the campus(seriously...)

Her sister seems rather quiet today. Must be tired too. She had to help in the open house since morning, I would be tired if I helped in open house(heck, I'm tired after a hour, LOL?)
--
To be frank, we're in a rush too. The Open house is closing in 1 hours time. We went to check the school of science, took goodie bags and went to look around at School of I.T

Keller after looking at the School of Science.

Our last stop was the School of Business, we went for a performance by them.
--
One word: LAME!

One male actually acted GAY. Notice the word 'act' and it was damn successfull, from the preview I thought he was a female, until I heard his voice. Still the voice was gay. Brr.....

Conclusion: They are all good at acting weird. Weird school. LOL...

Cynthia actually say that this poly than Ngee Ann one because here looks more fun. OMG....

If I went to this campus, you would see me frozen the moment I stepped in. I would be rendered lamed....LOL!

I sort prefer Ngee Ann but sadly it is simply too far for me to go that campus. Sad..Sad...
--
We went for Ice-Cream(Cynthia had free ice-cream...thanks to her sister...)

That Ice-cream made me sick for more than a week!(this is later of course)

My god...too much chocolate...haiz....
--
Bao Lin did not take the same bus as Cynthia and I, oh well...

From bus to the interchange, we talked about why she was tired and where she was alighting.

In the end, she decided to alight at the MRT Station, as do I.

She's meeting with her mother while I'm going home. :p

When we alighted, then came a strange comment.

"You should buy a piar of shoes"-Cynthia
"Why!?"-Me
"Because I think you very pitiful, only have two kinds of shoes"-Cynthia
"What!?"-Me
"My sister, in a month, bought 3 pairs. You should too."-Cynthia
"You girls mah, I boy, why need so many.."-Me

Then we left, as in seperated.

P.S: Finally, finished, sorry I had to cut many details because I'm in a rush.

Secret war Journal[10 Jan 2009][Part 1]

10 January 2009 @ Poly Open House! [Part 1]
Arg! I actually woke up at 7.30AM[GMT +8]!!! I slept at 12 Midnight yesterday and I feel freaking awake despite that!
Oh my god...Since I got nothing to do, I went to bathe and walked around and perhaps accidentally woke my family up early in the morning because they woke up at 8 o'clock in the morning.

I bathed, and I got really bored and and started to pack my slingbag as to what to bring. Nothing much actually, just the piece of paper that cynthia wanted me to bring and my water bottle. Can't live without water, you know. LOL...(and my father claimed that I did not bring water bottle that day -.-)

By 9:30AM, I was dying to go out of the house because my mother wanted me to help her scrub some clothing before putting them into the washing machine(which I did because I had nothing else to DO!).
I left without saying goodbye though I did wave to them :p

When I reached the MRT Station, I saw Beatrice on the entrance. She was holding a donation can. Oh, today is flag day or whatever. I saw her, but the interesting thing is that she did not see me, she's using the phone, probably SMS-ing the rest of the class to come over and donate. LOL. I don't have time to talk to her so anything because I told keller not to be late and I have no intention to late myself. :o

As I was reaching the platform for the MRT Station, cynthia called me.

She asked where was I and I simply told her I'm at the Sengkang MRT Station. What else could I say? *Rolls Eyes*

Apparently, she had not even reach Sengkang yet, only reaching soon. She told me to wait for her at the platform(I swear, that was SO not the original plan but oh well...)

We hung up and then I realize we hung up too fast. You know why? She did not told me how she was reaching here! I seriously thought she was coming by train!(well, scold me for being stupid because her house was not near the MRT Station but I forgot about that that day)

And there I was, wondering if she had reached but moved on to the next MRT station because she did not come out to supposedly call me to go in the train. I missed a train, and I gave up wondering and called. Then I found out she was coming me by bus.(virtual brick hit my head for stupidity)

AND LO AND BEHOLD, she saw Beatrice too...and god, she really took a long time to come down to the platform, probably talking with Beatrice. -,-
I was really tempted to believe that she sort of went ahead without me. LOL. Then again, cynthia is not that kind of person(at least, I hope not XD)

INSERT--BACKGROUND INFO:
During yesterday's phone call with her, she said she may be wearing dress so actually I narrowed down to those wearing dress when I was looking for her.(Hey, my eyesight sucks)

And, I brought all the wrong books home, I did not bring homework back home!!!
I'm so stupid......

Well, guess what? Turns out that she did not wear dress that day, thank god my eyesight is good enough to had saw her face or else I would be looking blindly forever for a girl wearing dress. =.=

Anyway, she showed me SMS that Beatrice had sent her(Beatrice did not have my phone number so I was spared the SMS..LOL?)

It was something like:
Come Cupwalker and bring some spare coins.

Note: "Cupwalker" is a bubble-tea shop that is located near the MRT Station.

If you did not know of the flag day, you would have thought it was a just a friend outing and want you to accompany her and drink some bubble tea. So scheme-ing. LOL.(just kidding)

Well, anyway, I had to inform keller to not meet at Kovan MRT Station anymore because Cynthia informed me that Bao Lin's sister is going to bring us to Ngee Ann Poly. So there had been a change of plans and we're going to meet at Serangoon MRT Station instead.

Oh, did I mention that I missed THREE TRAINS just for waiting for Cynthia to finally appear? Seems very familiar when Wei Ting complained about missing a lot of buses just to wait for Cynthia. -,-

Oh well, it's 10:00+AM. I'm officially late.(As do everyone because of the change of location. :P)

In the train, we discuss stuffs and halfway, Keller called me. He reached Kovan MRT Station, I'm not very sure why he called but he did. XD.

Cynthia told me to tell him to skip a train so he can meet up with us. Then I added, "since we're two stops away from you, miss two trains so we can faster than you." XD
In disgust, he hang up....Haha, I'm so evil....

Well, we reach there, and Bao Lin have not arrived yet. Well, not exactly shocking because she had not even left her house when Cynthia called her.

That reminds me, when Bao Lin told Cynthia how to the reach the meeting point, I got a bit of worried. Here's why:
Cynthia said:
She say go left(lifted up right hand), then go right(lifted up left hand).

See the reason for me being worried? Keller was saying it's okay to go wrong way because we can always head back(god, he has a point!) to where we started.

And she brought us to a wrong place because there was suppose to be a bus stop once we exit the station, which we did not see there. Wow?
And I got hit by her(ow...) but at least I managed to comment about her left and right thingy. HAhs...

Second try brought us to the right place and we were on our way to Ngee Ann Poly!

Hey! Bao Lin's Sister uses GPS to travel to Ngee Ann Poly, leh! So Cool right! Somemore this GPS system can talk unlike the normal one. WOOT! Would like to try myself in the future(if I can afford...lol)

But the tone is monotonous but it's funny and really have sense of humour, in a weird way. LOL?

Despite being late and stuff for meeting up together, we reached Ngee Ann Poly half an hour before the Open House officially starts as we came by car. This is the power of CAR, man! Woot!

Did I tell of something that Cynthia did while we;re in the car? It's very evil...
Cynthia Said to Bao Lin(roughly translated to english):
You know someone hor, so stupid, want bring E.Maths Textbook, then bring back Chemistry Book. He also forgot to bring back Physics Homework. So stupid right?
(okay, not that mean, but you get the idea...)
Then she pointed at me, and they laughed...=.=

Back to when we reached the poly, Cynthia kept complaining about being hungry so we went to look for a place that sells food(AKA Canteen in schools).

Can you believe it? The first thing we did is to eat in a school. Seriously....

Well anyway, we were quite lost(we don't have a map...) and wandered around like a lost sheep until by some miracle, we found a canteen to eat. And by more miracle, the stalls were open. It's a Saturday! My God, I pity the stall vendors...

Anyway, we started discussing what we had for breakfast. Here are the results:

Me - One slice of Bread
Bao Lin - Bread(not specified)
Cynthia - One Slice of Bread
Keller - Rice and more[CHAMPION]

I mean, who eats Rice and more for Breakfast!? (keller....says a soft voice)
That's madness. Well, Cynthia bought rice for Breakfast/Lunch too but it's a combination of meal so...that's different. Right? Maybe not.

What had the world come to?

I bought Mentos Mint. And I ate like only a quarter(at home) while Bao Lin ate half, and Keller the other quarter.

Man, I have sweet lovers as my friends. How great is that?(fantastic?=.=)
Some would say, "How sweet is that?"(LAME....)

Oh, and Bao Lin is really weird today. The moment we reach the poly. She said, "I want go home.....I want to sleep...."

LOL!? That was super fast in home-sickness.

And the disease spreads....Keller complained, "I want to go home..Sleepy, feel like using computer..."

No Comments....

So there Bao Lin was, a bit quiet for most of the time.

Cynthia commented that it was weird that all three of us are staring at her eating.
My reply was, "Nay, we always do that to chris" LOLZ...

Well, in the end, after staring at her eating, I got hungry too and I brought one plate of rice to eat. Finished faster than her...=.= She did not eat finish! Cheater... O.o

Our first stop was School of Business and as luck would have it, Ngee Ann Poly offers the best Business Courses. Not to mention, Cynthia is interested in accounting. How lucky can she get? Sheesh...

Blah Blah Blah, in that school of Business, I won a Pen, and A small Tibit Bag. We all won the Tibit Bag. Keller won a highlighter.

The Pen was made in China(me being random). And Cynthia or Bao Lin took my Lolipop(and sweets)! Not that I cared much anyway.

Someone in the School of Business said that the building opposite AKA Convention Hall introduces all the courses that Ngee Ann Poly provides. So we decided to take a look there.

The first thing we smelled when we entered was....POPCORN! Wondered if it is free...

Blah Blah Blah, then we were informed that there is a shuttle bus that tours around the campus. Cool. Keller and I were headed to the School of I.T. while Cynthia and Bao Lin dropped off at School of Life Sciences(probably to get free stuffs -,-)

Here's a photo while we were in the shuttle bus:
Keller
yeah, Keller's face is scary. Should have featured someone else's face...
If you can't stand his face, you can look at the female at the background. :D

At the School of I.T., we won Sushi, Sweet Drinks, Sushi Vouchers, Pouches, and Watches.

At the last stop, we took a picture. Time to take revenge on Keller for him being featured in my previous picture:
Keller,leroy
No, the two girls there are not Bao Lin and Cynthia, for the benefit of those who have poor memory, they were in the School of life Sciences(remember?...)

BTW, I do not have Bao Lin's or Cynthia's Picture because they are camera-shy. DUH!(and I did not bother to ask, the answer was obvious)

Cynthia and Bao Lin got some free stuffs(more than us). They got:
  • Free Magazine
  • Free Lip Balm[Not to be Used]
  • Free Popcorn(which they shared with us, how kind :D)
  • Free Smallish Shoe(One blue, one Pink)
  • Free Slime(Not idea for what)
  • Free Goodie Bag
  • And More...

And so it's around 2:30PM now, we're going to head towards Temasek Polytechnic now. We have learnt a lot more about the courses and what they are about now though I purposely skipped those parts. Temasek Polytechnic, Cynthia's Sister there; Bao Lin's Sister there; My two cousins, Yuki and Simin are there too.
And so we GO!....

TO BE CONTINUED...

P.S: This is a really long post, even after splitting into two parts....

6th January 2009 about Teachers 2009
Hi! School started now long before so i thought it would be great to introduce some of the teachers that will be teaching my class for Year 2009.

Ms Tan Yih Tyan - Form Teacher; English Teacher; CME Teacher
Yep! You got it!
We have a Form Teacher that teaches two subjects! Not that CME will be greatly taught anyway...

So far she had not scream at us yet, which is a good sign.
She is doing a good job in remembering most of our name though I suspect someone was(were) nearby to help her for the first few days.
But hey, her lessons are enjoyable so I'm fine with it ;)

P.S: You know who told her right -,-||| Maybe not. LOL?

Mr Goh Kar Whee - Physics Teacher
Mr Goh is also our Physics Teacher for last year. He is also our CCA Teacher-in-Charge.
His presence and guidance in our CCA had allowed us to score new heights for our CCAs. I believe that our CCA had never won so much awards and prizes before. Our School Principal should be contented. :D

Apart from that, what sets him different from most teachers is that he had worked at the private sector before coming to work as a teacher.
Thus, he had many different views that most teachers may not have. Teachers do come from all walks of life, huh? LOL....

As of now, he's my first and only Physics Teacher I ever had(as do Chemistry).

I think he's good at xuaning poeple, I'm sure he's aware of that fact but when he does that it's funny which makes his class actually very nice to be in.

Mdm Ng Mui Hoon(Mrs Hay) - Chemistry Teacher
Whoo! Our Chemistry Teacher!

Her methods of teaching is really unique and proved to be useful in my ways of learning new stuffs.
She gives us notes with blanks and that piece of notes with so many blanks actually acts as an encouragement to listen to her class so as to fill in the blanks. To some, this method may not work but I do not like blanks. First, the note would look weird. Secondly, I would not be able to revise for my Chemistry Tests.

She also says alot of slang. It's not meant to be a negative comment. She knows how to balance proper language and slangs. She says slang in informal places(as in after class or when she's joking) so you will find she being very serious when she's teaching. But she do manage to slip jokes in between to reduce the tension.

But when time gets tight, hold your seat belts, it's going to be a long day....XD

Mdm Khaw Hwee Mung(Mrs Sim) - E.Maths/A.Maths Teacher
Our class so be glad to Mrs Sim for being so patience with us because so many of us are not able to hand in our homework in time.
I admit, sometimes even I forget to do my homework though I resolved to put it to the minimum(let's see...). :D

But I'm kind of worried about Maths, especially A.Maths. I hope I can score well. Who won't?

I'm bracing myself for some intensive Maths Training in the coming Months because we still have many chapters to cover...

Mr Abdul Rahim - History/Social Studies Teacher
This is the third time he is teaching my class history, second time teaching Social Studies.

He likes to try new methods in teaching us such subjects but I got a feeling that he will not try new methods on our class anymore because we're now the graduating class and to save time, he will probably use proven and efficient methods to teach us.

Mr Seah Kim Chye - Geography Teacher
O.o

Hopefully, this time we're getting a permanent teacher to teach us throughout the years.

"Mr Seah - our Geography teacher, he's funny as well, especially with his slang.
He teaching tourism then he came across a slide of a attraction in London which was actually a flyer. Then he criticise Singapore Flyer got stuck until damn funny!"- Lloyd
Note: I do not take responsibility for what he said or wrote.

I don't really know him much enough to describe him yet. So let's move on...

Mrs Png Nan Sy - Chinese Teacher
She's also the H.O.D of Chinese in our School. Ok...

Here's a quote on what she did on the first day we met her:
"my chi tcher is a total! omg!
the first thing she did when she came in was:
darren: 起立!
her: 等一下!我没有说 “上课” 你不要喊 “起立”。
her: (translated to eng) wad the dm's expectation of ur attire, i want it to be tht way. and all stand first, i want to check. so those whose socks and skirts.. u noe wad to do arh..

like wtf?!

and there she goes, checking the girls and guys and stuff, asking the girls to pin their hair, pull their socks higher, and yeah lorh. omg larh! really dun like her. and she still sae the target she set for us is:
for poorer students- A2
for students with good results- A1

omg! distinctions?! omg! really~~ and she make us memo 默写 and stuff. omg! cjk! we have been like cheating for 2 years (oops) lerh leh. now nid and want 默写. she want our lives arh.. :("- Alexia

"陈老师 - our Chinese teacher, she rocks! I really like her and her lessons.
She said that her objective is to make us get an A for our 'O' in May.
She's damn funny though she's strict can?
She go make a worksheet talking all about the Xiao Niang Re theme song and even a powerpoint slide with all the cast's photo and name in it. Damn cute can?
I think Chinese is my favourite subject now LOL."- Lloyd
Note: I do not take responsibility for what he or she said or wrote.

She is really different to the point like culture shock in the beginnning but at least she brings a fresh view of lessons. :D

4 January 2009 about CCA during the Holidays[29~30 !
Right! Today, I'm going to tell you what have happened when we, the members of the Nan Chiau High School Infocomm Club came back for CCA during the last few days of CCA.

The Moral Animations side had to rush to complete their animations and pass to me and they were doing voice-over with really funny voices. It would have been great to get a hold of those voice-clips. HAha.

This year, Mr Goh had decided to go ahead with the original plan, to create a portal for this CCA so that even after we, the seniors, graduated, we can still share experiences and teach our juniors.

And for that to happen, we need servers, computers that still connected to the net to allow other people to view the portal.

And so began our search in our lab wasteland of old computers to recover whichever computer that still had a spark of life in it to make supercomputers.

And we had fun! We took out many computer chips and putting back, just for the fun of it. HAHAS?

But boy, so many computers were spoilt that in the rows of CPUs, we only recovered 3 computers with working conditions.

Here's a picture of the hopeless computers:
Computer's River of Death

Serious! It's long and many enough to create a computer bed. That's when we started fooling around as you can see on the next picture:
The Seniors having fun!
From Left: Zi Ying, Christopher, ME, Qi Xiang, Jian Zhong, Keller.

Yo! Notice the RAM Rabbit Ears on Christopher's Head!.
Hahs...

Besides trying on the computers, we also prepared for the coming CCA Day which just occurred a few days before I posted this.

Yep, that's when I made the Promotion Video and stuff.
Our Junior made the Flyers, it looks nice, I like the colour combination.

And guess what?
We're learning PHP Script this year!
I had a head-started myself but I wonder how would the training progress on the coming Wednesday which falls on 7 January 2009?

Hmm....

3rd January 2009 abt NCHS CCA Day!
Man, today I came too freaking early though some of my CCA's juniors came even earlier than me.

Not to mention that Mr Goh is late...=.=

Christopher is the latest, being close to a hour late.
--
Not that I mind much anyway because this year's CCA Day is very boring. I almost wanted to fall asleep and I'm the Chairman some more!

This is really depressing. I guess you can say I'm getting the common holidays blues. Haiz...
--
Some of you would be wondering how could a day in the Nan Chiau High School be boring when every time I talked about it is as if very exciting to be in this school.

The answer is I'm not very sure either. LOL?
I think it is because my CCA did not shout like the rest of the CCA do, like advertising our CCA about it stands for and it had done and what it does. I found that by doing so, it makes me feel a bit better and relieve a great deal of stress.

Because our teacher-in-charge, Mr Goh, wants motivated and enthusiastic students to join our CCA so that meant that we're adapting this new policy for this year - no propaganda of any sort but wait for the people to come to us.

I support such a policy, but I never knew it could be that boring in practical terms. LOL. That is because hardly anyone even bothered to stay at our booth to watch or anything, they just glanced and left. What a disappointment!

Not to mention that, in the end, we had four names on the sheet of paper that asks them to write down their particulars though we used persuasive methods so in actual fact there should not be a single name on that sheet of paper.

So depressing isn't it. Is the whole cohort of secondary 1 so not interested in what makes a website ticks or how to make game.

Perhaps there is a generation gap, for me, or my generation at the East of Singapore, we're all interested in making games and letting people play. That is a reason enough to let me join.

Perhaps, robots interest them more. Sheesh. Not to boast but my first lesson in my CCA was with the Robotics Department because we had not officially started CCA for animation-making yet. You know what happened? Our model of robot thrashed their model. It's totally a disgrace for them. I can't believe they actually have more members. Is robots that fascinating? Maybe generation gap, indeed.

If you had not sensed it, I'm part of the Infocomm Club. We're split into two departments - Robotics and Projects-Oriented.

I'm the Chairman of the Infocomm Club and we're learning how to make servers this year! Wohoo! This is going to be fun. The first time I tried to make a computer a server, it overheated(opps?)
At least this time I will have guidance. :p
--
After CCA Day, I wanted to called some of our schoolmates to eat together. It's a total disappointment, man!
Christopher and several others don't feel like eating. What had the world come to? They all hate food so much? Seriously, had their stomach alarm(telling them he's hungry) being mute that they can survive skipping meals? I certainly cannot. So in the end, only Keller and I ate lunch. And that is after I forced him to eat lunch with me. Grr...What a nice bunch of friends I have in north side of Singapore. =.=
--
Alright, I need to eat dinner now. See ya!
Sorry for talking so much depressing stuff today, I just had a rough side of life today.

2nd January 2009 with the First day of School!

Some would say the day they have been dreading have come, some would say the day they have been looking forward to have finally arrived.

For me, it is a in-between, I got mixed feelings. I don't school to start because I had not finished homework and I want to go to school because it provides a carefree and long-term excuse for leaving my house. HAHAs....

Right, I didn't have a good sleep last night and I only managed to wake up after two alarm clocks went off. Such a disgrace...lol.

up so early for the past two months and I 'm having cold! ARG!!!

Oh well, I did not use computer in the morning and left home at exactly 7 o'clock in the morning. Hmm..Wonder if I will be late at the first day of school? I hope not.

The amazing thing is that my home is now so near to my school that I can reach my school in 5 minutes!(that means I'm not late! Wohoo!)

It is a new year and so we're getting a new batch of teachers. My new form teacher says my hair is too long! I just had it cut not long ago and it's short by school rules! This is way weird man!

No matter, we, my class, just realized that our classroom had changed without prior notice! Some of us had placed their secondary 4 books in the previous allocated classroom and quickly ran to retrieve it. Thank god I did not place my books there. LOL!

During the first two periods in class when our form teacher is introducing herself, Jie Sheng kept pestering me to sit at the last row. Had I mention I hated the last row, I never sat there for more than 10 minutes last year and I'm not going to change that fact for this year. Yep, not even for Jie Sheng.

In the end, we compromised that I sit at the second last row, at least it is not the last row(and the form teacher did not even realise it. -.-)

Oh, this time I'm sitting with Wei Siang. Christopher sit at the last row.Mrs Sim, our Maths Teacher for this year and last year, had great news for us, okay not that great but enough for me to rejoice. We do not need to hand in her work! Woot! I only finished her Elementary Maths Questions, but it's great, a great burden off my shoulders!

Then we had PE on our first day of school. We took height and weight today. I got 1.75M and 53.8Kg. Wohoo! Don't ask me what made me say that.(Because I truly do not know)

Anyway, Cynthia today informed of a open house for Ngee Ann Poly. I have checked out the details. It is between 8-10 January 2009, 11AM~6Pm[GMT +8]. Wonder who's going

Besides that, tomorrow's CCA Day, I have to make the video for the tomorrow's event and banners and stuff. I had just completed which is why I can post about this now. LOLS.

Oh and can you believe it? I have homework already! Secondary 4 life is really very stressful. No tto mention a maths test in the next coming week. Ohmigosh, school barely started and so much events are coming at full speed. I may need to buy time to finish everything....

Hopefully, I can post about what had happened at tomorrow's CCA day ;)

1st January 2009

HAPPY NEW YEAR, GUYS!!!
Right, I'm done with that message(lol).

I don't really much stuff to say since I have been rushing homework for the past few days.

As of posting, I have finished the following:
  1. Elementary Maths Homework Questions
  2. Two Additional Maths Revision Exercises.
  3. 10 English Newspaper Reflection
  4. 3 English Comprehension + Summary
  5. 2 Chinese Newspaper Reflection
  6. 2 English Books Reviews
And I'm not near finishing. I guess I will join the ranks of the majority of my class who all could complete the assigned homework.

Let's do talk depressed stuffs.

Yesterday was New Year's eve.

I was watching anime late at night and did not realize that it was already past midnight and that was then I received several 'Happy New Year' Greetings.

Serious! I did not countdown man. It's like WOW! It's New Year. LOL....

At 11:59PM on my clock before midnight. My neighbourhood was filled with shouts, "HAPPY NEW YEAR!"

Okay, only three shouts. But they're are loud. Wohoo! Nice Neighbourhood I have. LOL.

Okay, I'm probably need to end my post here. It's short I know, but I need to finish as many homework I can. Sorry!
