Chinese Orchestra Concert

Secret War Journal[31 January 2010][Long Post]

Today, we are going to attend Emelia's Concert. Cool huh?

Met up with Johnston and his parents at their house first for dinner.

Had part 2 of Halo 3 there though we did not manage to complete the storyline together. Hahas...

Had dinner with Johnston's Family (excluding Emelia, of course, since she's at the Concert Hall already)

After Dinner, we rushed to the venue.

Rock on!

Met up with Johnston's Relative who had came along to attend Emelia's Graduation Concert.

We took one of the front rows in the Concert Hall so that we can get a better view of where Emelia is during the concert.

Had I mentioned that this was the second time I am in here?
I remember the first time, I was here because I was forced by Ms Lim to attend NCHS' Concert. Hahas. Still, it was worth it in the end so it was not a total waste of money. :)

Anyway, back to Emelia's Concert...

This concert is a graduation ceremony organised by the MOE, Music Talent Development Programme.

In total, there are many secondary schools which participated in this programme. Namely:

3. Bedok South Secondary School
4. Chung Cheng High School
5. Evergreen Secondary School
6. Manjusri Secondary School
7. Ngee Ann Secondary School
8. Pasir Ris Secondary School

10. Raffles Girls' School (Secondary)
11. Siglap Secondary School

Under this programme, Emelia learns the Daruan.

Pity that I can't find any videos to show you guys how the music sounded. Hahas

In addition, the concert was graced by the presence of a renowned conductor, Ms Ding. Here's her Bio(click to enlarge):

My personal favourite should be the last piece(which I can't find the video so you people won't have a clue which song I'm referring to) and the one which includes the drums solo. :)
